It will be the same two issues as it has been up to this point, the regime needs to draft better in the future than they have in the past, and they need to make better personnel decisions in the future than they have in the past. If they draft well, then Brock's forthcoming contract will not bite us so hard.

They had a quality draft this yr imo. Your elite QB that's eating up a ton of cap space needs to be able to elevate the team. I can't say that Brock has been doing that this yr.

i think that's a myth. Goff isn't elite and he isn't elevating Detroit. he's paid and they are winning a lot of games. it's about putting talent around your capable QB in many cases. not enough mahomes's to go around for the league.. so many teams will have to rely on other QBs. i see baker, darnold, goff all winning a lot of games this season.

Yes I would move on from Kyle, if we can get Ben Johnson. Or someone else from Kyle's tree that is proving himself on another team. Yall might like Kyle's offense.. but there is a chance there might be someone out there running his system that might be a better Head Coach than him. Be a better gameday caller than him. Have the team more prepared than him. Protect our players and not run them into the ground. Use our backups to keep our star players fresh for most of the season and more importantly, in the playoffs.
Kyle Shanahan is not the end all be all when it comes to Head Coaches.. there are coaches out there right now doing more with less talent.. there some coaches have lost their starting QB for most of the season, and have similar records to us...
he is not going to be our Head Coach forever. I hope yall understand that.
Da f**k has Ben Johnson done? You ever watch his offense and how it's run? It's f**king no different than Kyle's, same principles.
acting like Kyle stinks all of a sudden coming off having the best offense in football last yr and scoring almost 29pts per game.
what a bad take

You're kind of making the case for Johnson. He's averaged 32.8 points per game this season, in a far tougher division.
If he'd be Kyle's equal on offense, then the only question is would he be better as Head Coach of the whole team. IMO, Kyle is Terrible at that. I find it Very hard to forgive him for giving Mahomes the first opportunity to win a Lombardi this year when He won the choice and had the opportunity. I can't admire the fact that he has No Defensive Coordinator or Special Teams coordinator. That's outright dereliction of duty. I don't think he steps in and does those jobs. I don't think he motivates the players and keeps them up when thing aren't going great. I don't appreciate he plays favorites instead of bringing young players up. I personnaly believe he is a bad influence on draft picks with a bias for traits over football players. I don't think his play calling is using what Brock does best this year.
We don't know, but Kyle is So bad at head coach functions, I'd certainly bet big that a smart football guy like a young and upcoming Johnson would be better than the known performance of Shanahan.

using Goff just proves my point lol. Thanks
love how you didn't bring up Allen/herbert/jackson. They're not playing with a bunch of elite play makers around them right now and all of them are winning and playing much better.
Here's a thought…maybe just maybe Baker and Darnold are better than Brock? Maybe just maybe Brock might be more dependent on the guys around him than other QBs?

you are mixing up your QBs. Allen and Lamar are some of the true elites. those guys are rare.
good luck finding one, we tried and we set this franchise back a good ways going for lance.
goff proves my point. cuz he's not a MVP. that's a joke. he just has a nice situation over there. that's how 90% of the league has to live. 90% of the league doesn't have mahomes or josh allen on roster and that's us. gotta win with the talent around brock.

Calling someone a terrible HC who's been to two SBs and two NFCCs the past 5 years…is the most ignorant and biased comment lol.
im not gonna even try to have a convo with someone that's tossing that s**t out there.
