Why are we knocking Mahomes to prop Purdy up? There is nothing overrated about Mahomes and his resume. He went through arguably the toughest playoff gauntlet of his career last year, beating the cream of the crop in the AFC on the road, and came out on top against us.

Interesting. I've been extremely hard on Purdy for his performance this year, and I think deservedly so because it's mainly been decision-making.

That said, this indicates, he wouldn't look as bad if our receivers weren't performing so awful. But Burrow and Darnold would look even better too.

I think Cowing should get more reps and I don't question his work ethic. If he's still not ready, or is ready and isn't getting time, both are on the position coach Hankerson. Curious if we see a change there.

We don't know how Cowing is looking in practice. He may be having trouble learning how to block and hs routes may not be crisp. He might be just a one trick pony with straight ahead speed. I think he would be getting time at WR if he was showing in practice that he deserved it.

Still puts Purdy in the top 10 like basically every other advanced metric, which puts his value in line with Tua, Love, etc

he's 17th in comp %, 15th in TD%, 9th in INT%, 12th in succ %, 15th in QB rating. PFF has him as their 17th overall passer.

Brock has 17 drops this yr according to pro-football reference.

For perspective, Rogers and Herbert have the most with 29.

Advanced metrics are worded so that those who support them can look down on those who use the basic stats that every QB has been evaluated by for decades.

In reality they are just "additional" stats that give you more information.
