If jimmy could throw an accurate pass more than 10 yards they win. If Jimmy doesn't have the worst 4th QR performance for a QB in SB history, they win. That is reality.

they gave up on Lance because they were a team that was in window mode. Brock offered stability and was cheap as s**t.

gave up on lance cuz he was a colossal dud.
picking QBs isn't easy, and this brain trust doesn't have a sterling QB picking record. they'll pay Brock, refresh the QB2 situation and we go from there.

How many times havrethey had a top 10 pick? Lance was a reach in a season of bad QB prospects. The Niners knew it but they were stacked w=everywhere else and tfelt it was worth the risk. It failed. They felt they weren't going to get a crack at a top QB again because of their roster. To land a top QB you need to have a bad season and be lucky enough that it's a good year for QB talent. Finding a true franchise QB in later rounds is rare. It happens but not often.

I said in another thread i don't mind the big swing and miss for a QB, but damn they paid a TON. Also I think its a lesson that while you can try that, if you miss on the guy then those future missing first rounders subsequent years will hurt even more if you don't nail it everywhere else.

If not for Purdy could you imagine today? oooof

No one can determine that after a couple games…look at your boy Darnold. you were the one going off about how great Lance was gonna be lolz. No take backs there, bud.

Lance needs football and that s**t was never gonna happen here or in Dallas. He's the poster child on why you shouldn't leave early.

Kyle's problem at QB is he will settle for a competent QB that can run his offense. He doesn't care about tangible traits and upside. Dude was gonna take McCorkle at one pt (I'm guessing he was talked into Lance and liked him more after meeting him). That's all fine and dandy when they're cheap as s**t and you can max out the roster around them… problem is when you have to pay them because like we all said, QBs are all overpaid. So overpaying a good not great QB the same as an elite level QB is a disadvantage imo.

Dude has always been a gunslinger…same thing in college.

When I think Gunslinger I think Brett Favre Jamis Winston.

lol back to thinking Jimmy was anything more than a system QB that was propped up by Kyle and this team? God dude, get over it.

brock isn't top tier/elite, he's better than Jimmy that's for sure.

Propped up by Garrett Celek, Kendrick Bourne, Aldrick Robinson, Trent Taylor, Marquis Goodwin, a rookie George Kittle, and Carlos Hyde, which was his supporting cast when he took a 1-10 team and made it 6-10 and got a new contract?

The anti-Jimmy narrative was crafted on the false premise that Kyle Shanahan is some genius because his dad is a genius.

If Counsins can get this Brock can get 55 million.

yes, brock is a lil more calculated than that. brock is pretty darn natural, great processing and anticipation. his short area quickness is strong. his arm is just really soft, it's a lot of rainbows and the ball in the air.

and btw, for whoever is keeping score or what have you, they just had Papa talking with Mooch, who knows a thing or two about ball, and Mooch was asked about the rain issue, and Mooch's first thing he said is when in Green Bay, and Rodgers, Favre, Love they all have big hands, and that's why they measure that it's what you kinda look for. i'm just passing along the words of a guy who coached in the league. i realize brock has hands on the size of some other guys, and mooch i think gets that also. mooch mentioned goff and eli manning being similar to brock in size of hand, and they didn't have issues. now love he has big hands, that's just reality. i haven't measured love's hands, but you can just see em. he can really shoot it all over the place. but he has his own issues, like falling away every time he passes.

Never in the history of the game has a QB had as much success in the first 6 seasons than Mahomes has had. He isnt overrated in the slightest bit.

Success meaning what, exactly? He would have no rings if the refs actually did their job.

His numbers the last 2 seasons are a joke, yet people are running out of superlatives for him and getting close to proclaiming him the greatest human to ever live. Everybody who isn't a Chiefs fan sees this. There are memes all over the internet about it. For some reason, many of the fans on here are closet Chiefs fans.

you can have a gunslinger mindset and not have a legit gun. That's a problem.
