QB Brock Purdy Thread

Nobody hated it more than me when Josh Allen scored the great TD against the 49ers and the announcers randomly started talking about it being Mahomesesc but come on. Hate Collingsworth, Buck, and Romo for that s**t not discredit Mahomes

What's amazing about him? His numbers (since 2023) are horrible, he's not impressive to watch, he's a joke.

The difference between Brock Purdy and Stat Paddy is Brock throws it BEFORE the receiver makes his break, whereas Stat Paddy throws it after the receiver has made his break and is standing around wide open, facing him.

And Stat Paddy is throwing dink and dunks and screens galore, while Purdy is throwing downfield.

i had to mute the guy. it was the repeated use of 'Stat Paddy' that did it. what a shame

they gave up on Lance because they were a team that was in window mode. Brock offered stability and was cheap as s**t.

If the refs do their job, the 49ers win. Jimmy outplayed Stat Paddy. Stat Paddy's atrocious play is the only reason that game was even close.

Jimmy's "worst 4th quarter ever" came from Screenbo not coming down with an incredible throw from Jimmy into double coverage that actually gave him a chance to high point the ball on a throw that needed to be made down 11 in the 4th quarter, needing to score quickly.

Meanwhile, Stat Paddy needs the refs to ignore a blatant hold on Bosa so he can heave a ball to Tyreek Hill when he's open by a 10 yard radius downfield.

yes, brock is a lil more calculated than that. brock is pretty darn natural, great processing and anticipation. his short area quickness is strong. his arm is just really soft, it's a lot of rainbows and the ball in the air.

and btw, for whoever is keeping score or what have you, they just had Papa talking with Mooch, who knows a thing or two about ball, and Mooch was asked about the rain issue, and Mooch's first thing he said is when in Green Bay, and Rodgers, Favre, Love they all have big hands, and that's why they measure that it's what you kinda look for. i'm just passing along the words of a guy who coached in the league. i realize brock has hands on the size of some other guys, and mooch i think gets that also. mooch mentioned goff and eli manning being similar to brock in size of hand, and they didn't have issues. now love he has big hands, that's just reality. i haven't measured love's hands, but you can just see em. he can really shoot it all over the place. but he has his own issues, like falling away every time he passes.

Brock has the same hand size as Mahomes & mayfield. 9 1/4. It's small, but other QBs have been fine in inclement weather with that hand size. s**t, Joe burrow has smaller hands and no one is saying anything about him and bad weather in the AFCN.

Love has big ass hands 10 1/2. Folks like to comp Brock to Drew. Drew Brees had monster hands for his size. Over 10 inches. They ain't the same guy.

Look at this guy getting triggered about an insulting nickname towards a f**king CHIEFS PLAYER.

Do you see how ridiculous this is?

Only propaganda on the level of Joseph Goebbels can do this to fans to where this chubby, babyfaced dork of a QB is some untouchable.

Don't you dare talk about the orangutan from Jersey Shore! He throws the most amazeballs sidearmed screen in the league!

Success meaning what, exactly? He would have no rings if the refs actually did their job.

His numbers the last 2 seasons are a joke, yet people are running out of superlatives for him and getting close to proclaiming him the greatest human to ever live. Everybody who isn't a Chiefs fan sees this. There are memes all over the internet about it. For some reason, many of the fans on here are closet Chiefs fans.

Meaning everything.

6x Pro Bowler
3x All Pro
2x MVP
3x SB Champ
3x SB MVP

No other QB in NFL history has this resume in his first 6 years starting.

Pro Bowls mean nothing. Popularity contest. Vince Young made 2 Pro Bowls, and he was a legitimately horrid QB.

His MVPs are a joke. Chris Jones was the objective SB MVP in both SBs against the 49ers. Stat Paddy did absolutely nothing impressive in either SB, and was carried to the title. He got the MVPs for propaganda.

Alex Smith was ref help away from SB rings as well when he was on the Chiefs. Look at how many close playoff games they lost.

Put Stat Paddy on just about any other team and nobody is talking about him.

I almost left off Pro Bowls because I knew you try to minimize them. Theres a difference between someone being a 4th alternate and the best QB in the league being a PBer.

The Chiefs lost close playoff games BECAUSE of Alex Smith. As soon as the Chiefs started Mahomes, they went from a playoff team to a perennial SB favorite.

If you want to continue this discussion, move to NFL talk. I cant believe I even spent time replying to your nonsense.
I could post this stuff on Chiefs forums and I would get no stronger reaction from their fans. That says it all.

Brock should get a new contract on the basis that he was hands down the best QB in football in 2023. That's his upside. If he doesn't return to that form, you can cut him before he hits the big money on the back end. I'm thinking a 4 year deal with a 40 million signing bonus. He'll make $1 million in base salary the first year, maybe $8 million the second year, and then you can give him outrageous numbers in years 3 and 4 to make it average out to "$60 million per year." Should he return to 2023 form, you give him an extension and keep lowering the cap figure as he hits the big money, converting the base salaries into signing bonuses.

Not that complicated.
trying to minimize Mahomes and call themselves a "expert" 🤣

dude sounds like that that Dan Kelly guy who runs around pretending to be a meaningful former jets scout lol.

Take this crap to the Chiefs thread. There you can continue to post how amazing you think Mahomes is as a QB. If you think he's been some all-time great QB over these past few seasons, I don't know what you're watching and couldn't disagree more from what I've seen. Now, the Chiefs as a team in playing very good football in all three phases plus their coaching...they've been something impressive to watch these past few seasons (as much as I hate to admit). That said, the Niners absolutely let them off the hook this past SB.

Back to Purdy as this is the Purdy thread, want to see him play these final three games and finish the year strong. Hopefully, he can build up rapport with some of the young guys like Pearsall and maybe Cowing if he gets some playing time.

Not really, considering Stat Paddy had no business being in the Pro Bowl last season based on his numbers and performance.

No, Alex Smith actually had good numbers in multiple playoff games. You gonna blame Alex for the 45-44 loss to the Colts?
