Never in the history of the game has a QB had as much success in the first 6 seasons than Mahomes has had. He isnt overrated in the slightest bit.

Success meaning what, exactly? He would have no rings if the refs actually did their job.

His numbers the last 2 seasons are a joke, yet people are running out of superlatives for him and getting close to proclaiming him the greatest human to ever live. Everybody who isn't a Chiefs fan sees this. There are memes all over the internet about it. For some reason, many of the fans on here are closet Chiefs fans.

Meaning everything.

6x Pro Bowler
3x All Pro
2x MVP
3x SB Champ
3x SB MVP

No other QB in NFL history has this resume in his first 6 years starting.

Take this crap to the Chiefs thread. There you can continue to post how amazing you think Mahomes is as a QB. If you think he's been some all-time great QB over these past few seasons, I don't know what you're watching and couldn't disagree more from what I've seen. Now, the Chiefs as a team in playing very good football in all three phases plus their coaching...they've been something impressive to watch these past few seasons (as much as I hate to admit). That said, the Niners absolutely let them off the hook this past SB.

Back to Purdy as this is the Purdy thread, want to see him play these final three games and finish the year strong. Hopefully, he can build up rapport with some of the young guys like Pearsall and maybe Cowing if he gets some playing time.

It's FootballBeginner who keeps posting about Pat.

You really are clueless about football. 9moon has better takes.

Huh? You do realize Stat Paddy's signing bonus was $10 million, right? Joe Burrow's was $40 million on a 5 year deal.

$40 million is completely realistic. It allows the team to cut him after 2 years and only have $20 million in dead money.

I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know.

If the refs do their job, the 49ers win. Jimmy outplayed Stat Paddy. Stat Paddy's atrocious play is the only reason that game was even close.

Jimmy's "worst 4th quarter ever" came from Screenbo not coming down with an incredible throw from Jimmy into double coverage that actually gave him a chance to high point the ball on a throw that needed to be made down 11 in the 4th quarter, needing to score quickly.

Meanwhile, Stat Paddy needs the refs to ignore a blatant hold on Bosa so he can heave a ball to Tyreek Hill when he's open by a 10 yard radius downfield.

FootballNovice coming through with the laughs.

Best QB lol? Based off what?

Based off everything.

Threading needles. Hitting receivers on the numbers when throwing the ball when they're only halfway up their stem. Setting records for deep completion percentage. Brilliant improvisational plays that are only made when necessary, because Brock is pocket-first. 9.6 yards per attempt, which for a full season is the highest since Otto Graham. 2nd in football in air yards per completion.

Meanwhile, Stat Paddy, while playing with the best play caller of the century, put up mediocre numbers while ranking 29th in air yards per completion. The Chiefs were middle-of-the-pack in points.

Wow I really think this is Dan Kelly

Where's the laugh? Go back and watch the play. Incredible throw that had to be made given the circumstances. Screenbo let him down.
I think it's established at this point that most of the people in this thread know nothing about how to evaluate football players, nor how the salary cap works.

That seems to be where the disconnect is.

The laugh is you not realizing the game was already over. You're a beginner though so it's understandable.

You want to give him low ball offer with 1 mil and then 8 mil and we can cut him after and then only offer 40 mil signing bonus? What a joke lmao.

You don't know s**t, clear troll or you think you're smart. You're on a f**king forum calling yourself and expert lmao. Bro, if you're some football savant wtf you doing here? Go work on the NFL. Done entertaining this troll.

Except it wasn't. They had a remote chance of winning had Screenbo made the catch. The formula is the quickly kick the field goal, then succeed with an onside kick.

Learn how football works. This is basic s**t.

You clearly have absolutely no understanding of how football works.

Players always earn low base salaries early in their contracts. The "however many million per year" stuff is the total value of the contract, including the huge base salaries at the back end.

Nick Bosa's record setting contract was 5 years, 50 million signing bonus, and he's earning $1 million in base salary his first few seasons.

Yea they were going to score a TD, a 2pt conversion, recover an onside kick, and then get a field goal to tie, or TD to win, with less than a minute on the clock.

'Remote chance' indeed.

His 9.6 ypa is tied with Ryan Fitzpatrick in 18 and Ryan Tannehill in 19. So they should be heading to the HOF soon right?

where's all the needle threading this yr? Dude is 15th in completion %.

If you were an expert you'd understand that defenses have been playing 2-high on Mahomes for years. Instead of him forcing balls downfield he's taking what defenses are giving him AND winning…end of the day when it comes down to winning the game he shows up and does just that.

also the rosters weren't even remotely close to the same.
You know who's had similar numbers to 2023 brock? Kirk cousins on multiple seasons. I bet money you were calling him the best QB in football.

Doesn't make the point any different, was that Jimmy needed to complete a throw like that for them to have any chance, yet it results in fans going, "worst 4th quarter ever" based on the interception.
