Kirk never put up similar numbers. He was never even close to 9.6 yards per attempt in any season. Kirk is also a guy who folds in the pocket when teams have a good defense against him. He can't create like Brock.

Yards per attempt is the LEAST hollow stat in football. No stat is perfect, but only football novices think a bunch of volume statistics like "yards" mean anything. Ryan Leaf could throw for 5,000 yards if you let him throw it every down.

Nobody ever "dared Brock to push the ball downfield." I'll bet you're on Jonnydel's timeline on Twitter insisting that teams play "stacked boxes" against the 49ers because you don't understand how Kyle's condensed splits work, and how teams react to condensed splits.

Jimmy G was a good QB. Just couldn't throw the deep ball and is made of glass. Trey Lance, whom you LOVE, is literally the worst QB in the history of professional football.

Statpaddy Mahomes is 4th all time in postseason YPA, with a season's worth of games played. He's the leader in passer rating.

Not only is this a stupid argument, but you contradict yourself with your conclusions. Big oof FootballNovice.

Regarding Purdy and what you've seen in his overall game as a QB, where would you rank him right now in the league? Top 10?

Do you see him as this team's definite franchise QB going forward? Or, do you want to see more from him before making that determination?

Just curious about your thoughts on Purdy to this point after watching him his first 2 1/2 years. I, like you, have been a diehard Niners (and football) fan since the mid-70s. Even played, but just a little.

He's the best QB in the NFL, by far.

It's definitely been a challenging season for him and the team with all the injuries. Looking forward to seeing how he responds this Sunday after a tough last game vs. the Rams. He's responded well to some adversity in the past...let's see how he responds vs. the Phins.

Oh f**k off with that nonsense, Brock was struggling before missing a game vs GB. He's never had a plus arm, that's no even debatable.

your whole debate is based around one of the worst stats for a QB.

Again yards per attempt does not factor in YAC. Brock throws CMC a screen that goes for 30 yards. it's a 30 yard pass and inflates his Y/A. If you were an expert you'd know that.

You want to use stats, look at his IAY in 2023 which was 8.2 yards, which was 6th overall and tied with Desmond Ritter and Trevor Lawrence.

On please explain to me how condensed splits work and how that doesn't lead to him having favorable matchups downfield lol.

I didn't love Lance, I didn't want Mac Jones. I wanted fields and I wanted to see Lance actually get meaningful playing time and develop. I bet you loved Tim Tebow.

I say all that and can also say that Brock played really well last yr. I don't think anyone is denying that.

I know…really tossing out a hot take there.
If he wants more than 40 trade his ass and bring Kirk Cousins and Zach Wilson (I'm sure Kyle likes him) to battle while we keep looking for the one and with those 2 on cheap contracts we can afford 2 Drew Dalman and Jevon Holland in free agency.

We're not winning the SB next season anyway.

Of course Kittle has got Brock's back about getting paid. They are friends. I saw pictures of them vacationing together during the bye in Idaho.

Sad part is that Kittle is soft. He missed 2 important division games at Rams and at home against Seattle. The guy is brittle.
