QB Brock Purdy Thread

I told you all. Kyle is critiquing Brock as Brock has now come out and admitted that he needs to prove to himself that he is the right guy for this job. And Brock knows that you do that by not demanding a high salary to find this out without hurting a team and its fanbase.

Kyle being his usual clown self by saying the same guys weren't around him. My sister could have brought this team to the super bowl in the past couple years with its supporting staff.
I like Brock at 900K.
I like Brock at the money Mayfield is making.
I even like Brock at 40M.

I'd hate Brock at 50-60M.

The fact that other FO's were dumb enough to pay top money to non-top QB's doesn't mean that we have to do the same.
Really like Purdy but there are options to giving him the bag. Just like everyone I want this team to close it out so I'd consider:

3-4 first round picks for Burrow, though the Brown family might rather have him retire than give in to his demands.

2 first round picks for Trevor Lawrence, needs to be a better passer but he doesn't have any real weapons.

Soothing Rodgers personality for 1 year, until Adams arrived no real threats, with a bad O-line, it's the Jets need not say more.

If he wants more than 40 trade his ass and bring Kirk Cousins and Zach Wilson (I'm sure Kyle likes him) to battle while we keep looking for the one and with those 2 on cheap contracts we can afford 2 Drew Dalman and Jevon Holland in free agency.

We're not winning the SB next season anyway.

Totally disagree with what the other poster said…

I know you're on the bandwagon that Brock should be paid like an elite QB because he is (I think he's good and like him). Do you think if we said Brock go find a team that is willing to give us multiple 1sts and pay you $250M. Do you think there's a team that would do that anywhere for Brock? I really have a hard time believing there is.

if you asked this before the season started.. i might say yes lol
A 3 year $75 million contract would be very fair. It gives him a shot to keep his job based on the success he had in his first 2 seasons yet also does not bench him for his poor regression this year.

Out of your mind if you think Trent is driving a Toyota lol.

Brock pay for that on his own? I'm guessing Toyota hooked him up. Great gift on his behalf even giving them to the backups.

All of this. If we pay him 50 or more this team is done. He's just not good enough to push a lesser talented roster to a SB.

Oh stop it. Carr got 4 yrs $150M. baker got 3yrs $100M. He's gonna get that much and regardless of what we all think, he's gonna get more than that.
