Brock is average. I don't understand how people are still willing to ride with him and pay him. Without all pro's at every position you see EXACTLY what he is. A decent qb with a below average arm and a gun slinger mentality..
Question. Who is out there that is better than Brock? Is there anyone in the draft? Is it Darnold? One good year does not make Darnold great if thats the case then Brock has had two of those. So who do they get?

So should we just settle and pay an average qb? Keep taking shots in the draft until you find The guy. I'd consider giving Brock a very modest pay bump on a one year prove out deal. In no way so I give him a longterm deal.

In all fairness to Brock, he has outplayed his rookie contract by leaps and bounds. He was winning playoff games while making less than his backup QB's.

I think he is owed for what he's done, remember the elbow injury he suffered while making less than a million dollars on the season???

How can we possibly justify not paying him top dollar after Dak's contract? Letting him walk out the door would also make us look cheap and silly since we don't have a replacement for him.

You don't pay someone for what they've done but for what they will bring and he's showing declines not growth in his 3rd year.

Can't pay him 60. If he will take a Baker like contract 3 yrs for 30 million a year plus incentives that would be ok but he should get nowhere near 60.

Baker is his comp and Baker is playing much better than Brock this year.

Rumors of Joey B wanting to be traded from Cincinnati, if that's true and he does demand a trade this off season trade Brock, Kyle, and move the earth to get Joe.

Possibly another player taking the niners to the salary wood shed based on one good year. Seems to happen a lot here.

but he's not really having a good year, that was last season

That is what I am saying. "Based on one good year" but still going to be a huge payday.

Please change title of thread to Purdy Chokes Again. I know he will say he needs to do better. He just never does. Can't count on him and gotta move on. Too bad we don't still have Darnold the winner

LOL

Growth is almost never linear.

5 years 200m with an out after 2
Personally I am OK with saying hey maybe next year and let him hold out if that is what he wants.

He currently has his team in last place in the NFC West...great foundation to ask for $200 million

Just not seeing the magic when they need a comeback or winning drive.

Notice the reason Tua looked good tonight and the reason Purdy missed some throws?
Kittle is out there before being blasted

final play is pretty much a pick 6 the guy dropped it

He's either getting cut/traded or extended. He's not entering 2025 on the final year of his rookie deal. That means he's just being put on hold to be replaced. Once you decide he's not your guy you need to jettison him ASAP and bring the other guy in.

Purdy is not him. More and more clear every week.

Agreed. He looks worse that Tua

Brock Purdy 22/31 253 2 0
Tua Tagovailoa 21/33 208 1 0

Only on the webzone.....

Anything to say now?

I'd take Purdy over Tua 10 times out of 10 times.
Give the dude an oline and get some position players that can stay healthy. Stop wasting money and draft picks on over priced position players that are never on the field.

7.8 yards per vs Tua's 7.3 is not screens. You don't have a clue what yer talking about. You're just hating supporting a narrative from the moronic side of the WZ. That side that sounds like whining little girls, who's woman rules their house.

Correct.
Been saying, he saved the franchise from the Lance pick.

Not all is lost. It's a good evaluation on whether it's a good investment going forward. Kinks in the armor are showing.
