You're straight up lying if you think this team was in a good place after the 2020 season. Stop making stuff up.

it's called having a window and newsflash, windows aren't 20 years unless you have the brady's of the world. we seem to have had a window from 2019 to 2023, the window is shut, unless we draft our tails off or pull some rabbit out, that's the reality. i just report the reality, when the reality changes, my reporting will change.

What the f**k was ascending in 2020 anyway? We had a lame duck QB who needed to go. They traded away Buck and replaced him with Kinlaw. Only dude that showed anything from that draft was BA. Our "best" RB was Tevin Coleman. Sherman was done. Bosa tore his ACL. We lost Saleh etc etc.
he like to rewrite history to make his takes ever worse

You're lying if you think things were ascending after the 2020 season. You just want to argue for no reason.

it really isn't nothing to see. This team is not the team we are rolling out next year

now saying we are on the decline when we are 6 win is considered trolling you need a mirror and a reality check

the issue is he didn't need to do that. He needs stop locking onto one guy and take what the defense gives you.

two games in a row he was going to Jennings no matter what
LOL

The defense gave us a 25 yard gain down the middle of the field if the protection held up.

There was a wide open hole in the defense, a receiver moving towards it, if the OL doesn't allow a free rusher right up the middle, that's an easy completion. He was taking what the defense gave him, the problem is that the OL didn't do their part, no different than if a receiver drops a pass or if the QB overthrows a wide open receiver.

The argument that you preemptively go to the check down before exhausting the big play opportunity is so asinine it's impossible to take you seriously. If your QB defaults automatically to the check down then you need a new QB ASAP.
asinine? maybe if this was an anomaly. but this s**t has been happening multiple times per game this year. not throwing to the open guy. It's why we have no rhythm, can't convert and YAC has completely gone away. I can't say that about the last two years because he took what the defense gave him. That was him playing great ball.

What you ignored is that he was locked onto jennings the entire time. You want to blame OL sure, what happened to the Purdy who had the awareness and would always scramble to the left side.. or just the awareness that your OL is not holding up and just take the quick hitter for YAC

I think you need to take your emotions out of this if think you don't need to check down on a game winning drive

Yes, asinine. Sorry I just responded to the same post, but Phoenix did a much better job than me. I just laughed.

So you had issues with Brock completing to the open guy underneath to keep the drive going the last two years?

that's a new one
the issue with brock is maybe two fold. one, is the nfl adjusts and is taking away those layered middle of the field in breaking routes he was doing so well. two, is i have a hard time seeing him as the ideal shanny QB. shanny wants to run all day and play action or boot off that, and if teams come up to play run we can hit em downfield. so ideally you would have a strong arm who is also a bit of a run threat to make the team rushing that more potent. brock checks neither box. he's got some short area quickness but he's not what i would call a real part of the run game, nor does he have a strong arm. so while he may be a capable QB i question if he is a scheme fit. we are just running with him cuz he's our best option.

Its absolutely asinine. You're not taking a check down over Jennings open 25 yards down the field with plenty of daylight in front of him. The OL didn't need to do anything superhuman, just having a body in front of Campbell so that a monster DL doesn't have a free rush at and level your QB.

He made his presnap read, it was the correct one, the play worked as designed and when the MLB followed Deebo there was a huge gaping hole there, that is what the defense was giving you and you take that every single time. You still need everyone to execute and the OL did not.
