I say let him play out his last year and go from there. Four year sample should be enough.

but yeah that guy can pull some crazy stuff

i'm not into the excuses. reality is that situation is a showcase for your ability to get it done and overcome all the bs. i'd like to see brock's record in those situations does anyone have it?

i'm talking about end of game gotta have it drives. we had one yesterday an opportunity and failed. this is where the stat geeks don't give mahomes enough credit. he avoids the mistakes and makes the critical plays in winning time, even if the stuff around him is execution errors.

I agree, that's when QBs make their money. Same with Allen. It's not scheme based stuff for the most part, it's extending plays and making pin point throws. It's making the proper reads pre/post and bailing if you gotta. It's those no look passes from stafford and slinging it into tight windows. It's not turning the ball over as soon as you get a chance to win it.

s**t look at Daniels this yr. He not loaded with elite playmakers. He's got scary Terry and a bunch of role players. That OL is not amazing. Dude is making plays and can spin it.

Problem with purdy is any penalty or negative play and it's likely a dead drive. He can't overcome being behind the sticks.

Unfortunately......that reminds me of someone.

But damn does Purdy look so much better than Jimmy otherwise. That is why I feel it is still playcalling that is holding him back. Why I want to see him with a different Head Coach, before I give up on him.

It is shocking how bad the playcalling has been all year.

For example yesterday we ran 5 screens. All 5 got nice chunks! Where was this all year? Where was the under center pa? Completely baffling how this season played out. If I didn't know better I would have thought Shanahan was sabotaging our seaaon

no sabotage the league has caught up to us. shanny probably spends a lot of time plugging holes on D and ST. the offense looks neglected from the results.

But the screens and pa worked yesterday.... Why do we not use them more??

good question. i suspect on the play action front, they just aren't respecting whoever we run at this point. we are on empty at running back.

They are not respecting because we don't attack defenses down field. Pop them a few times (or get some PIs), and they would back off selling out for the short stuff.

yup. we have become predictable and our QB is limited. brock does some things very natural, but he's a pretty soft tosser. downfield strikes and throwing the deep outs isn't his bag. yet that's what this shanny system it would be ideal to have. what we are doing doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

First off on the PA stuff, Brock is currently 19th in the league in play-action attempts. This has been talked about a lot this yr. Literally all Brock is doing is attacking defenses downfield, to the point where he's trying too hard to push the ball downfield.

Those underneath throws have always been there, Brock ain't taking them for whatever reason.

Oh look, you've never actually looked at the air yards per attempt and air yards per completion statistics.

What's predictable?

He lost Higgins, but he was still his most targeted player lol. Good for Burrow, let's get receivers like Chase and Higgins and maybe that can be Brock in year 5 like Burrow

Burrow was doing s**t like this all game

Higgins didn't do a damn thing to make this TD happen…dude had missed like 5 or 6 games and constantly been in and out of games.

Burrow's OL has been trash for years and he's consistently put up 4,000+ and 30+ TDs.

I like Brock, he ain't Burow or the other top dogs and yet wants to be paid as such. That's a problem

If Burrow wanted out, and the Bengals were willing to give him up for Purdy + three 1sts, would you do it?

I'm worried our fanbase is going to spend all offseason banging the table for this
