His air yards in the past have been tops in the league.

He is also a threat to run. As of last night, the top four QB running threats according to PFF are:
Allen - 94 rating
Mahomes - 91
Purdy - 90
Hurts - 89
This is based on helping the team when the situation arises.

Daniel Jones is 79. He IS cheap...and for a reason.

Looking down the list I don't think more than 2 or 3 teams would be interested since most teams either already have an established starter or recently drafted a young QB. The Giants need a QB but they'll probably take one in this year's draft. Nearly every other team is either set or isn't a good fit because of weather or type of system. He just isn't that highly skilled plug and play guy.

Exactly. We can like Brock and also understand why teams across the league aren't lining up to giving him $250M along with 1st rd picks.

Why does SF have to be forced to pay a guy that isn't gonna get paid like that elsewhere? I'm all for having him be the dude, not if it evolves having to pay him Dak cash

Weird stat considering it doesn't mention L.Jackson and J.Daniels both with 700+ rushing yards this year.

Yep. See this is a perfect example of what I am talking about that you co-signed earlier DJ. If a criticism ONLY applies to this season and not the 2.5 years Brock has played as a whole, then its not a fair criticism based on the million things that went wrong this season.

Again, the market for young talented QBs isnt dictated by the questions you continue to ask. When a young QB is up for a new deal from his team, he gets paid. Its legitimately that simple. And you continue to ignore that and try to make comparisons that arent even close to apples to apples.

What situation is that exactly? Brock isn't coming of some awesome year. He's been the starter for a little over 2 seasons. He wasn't some highly skilled/top end talent that teams across the league wanted.

You're still not answering my question…almost like you're trying to dodge it. WHO is lining up to give us real compensation just for the opportunity to pay him $250M? Who? You can't answer that because you know there isn't anyone.

I think you're the one ignoring what's apples to apples and what's not. End of the day he's a 7th rd pick that got thrusted onto an amazing situation and while he's had some damn good success, he's had a full season that has been inconsistent and a disappoint overall.

Be smart about it. 1st down just outside of the RZ with like 4mins left.. maybe don't throw a YOLO ball…Your left side of your OL is down to a 3rd stringer guy and some random LG who hasn't played all yr, be cognizant of that.

I got no problem with Brock situationally being a gunslinger, Matt Ryan did that in 2016 BUT he wasn't turning the ball over either.

FWIW I don't put that last INT on Brock

From my understanding at no point during that route is the wide receiver open. He was covered from the get go shouldn't even have been an option. We can excuse the bad throw by blaming the oline, but it's a bad read with Brock just staring down his target…

You admitted you didn't watch the game. You only quote hearsay. Go watch the All-22 and get back to us.

My take is that it is when a QB can make something out of nothing rather than called runs...but what do I know? What I see is that Purdy has often picked up key yards when needed. He isn't a statue.

whatever the case may be, if you sign purdy for big bucks, they better go all in this year in OLFA

I mentioned this some pages back as well. Completely agree with you on all of it NY.

lot of this stuff i simply don't care much about the more i watch football over the years. because they are system or team offense stats, in many cases. just watch guys play. brock is short area quickness to extend plays. he's not some guy you incorporate into your O as a run threat. he lacks the arm to really shoot it downfield either. i'm not sure he's gonna be a guy. this was a big year, and there are questions, like why is his arm talent seemingly regressing? I have heard that from quite a few observers. his passes leave a lot to be desired right now.

I am not answering your question because I cannot speak for other teams. But I did already answer this question from the point of view of who I think should do that. And as I have said to you multiple times, your question is irrelevant.

they weren't saying that the last two years (Geno)
FWIW, Jordan Love's deal is the target. 5 yrs, $220 million total value, $55 million AVE, $100 million fully guaranteed, with two void years on the end. The fact it is only $100 million fully guaranteed is the discount, along with two void years. That would make Purdy about the 12th highest-paid QB.
