this is still a bad play from brock. just put the ball away and avoid the sack. it's a good escape but he doesn't finish the play.

He got sacked on this play?

After the BA fiasco, the FO is going to make certain this deal is done early on. The one thing they cannot afford is to get a reputation for playing hardball at every turn. That is a big turn-off for potential FAs. I don't believe they are at that point but it is something Lynch will watch closely.

Agreed. My heart blames this entire b******t season on BA. My head says thats dumb, but I've got a big heart

Yeah you're right no one has b***h about the OL this yr (and last yr) not one single person has b***hed about the play makers and the age/health of them right now.

You can't be serious right now.

ill mosey on over to the Shanahan thread to get the final ruling on this

also, make your claim. Which of those QBs you listed would you prefer to be a niner next year?

the more I read the more baffled I am. Didn't give darnold a shot? He was on our squad… what more of a shot do you want? Are you just posting random words to see what works?

the time to play sam would have been when brock was concussed vs minnesota, and we had cincy, and then a bye. we kinda rushed brock thru protocol, and he got his ass kicked vs cincy, had some turnovers. we probably should have let sam have the bengals game. if you follow nfl this season, i just see darnold as a more talented QB. we kept the soft tosser. it is what it is. huge gap in ability to throw the football

Reputation for playing hardball vs. making sure to not possibly tank and handicap your franchise for years to come.

This is a balancing act for sure but I'm leaning towards the latter.

So let's massively overpay a QB that doesn't have those high end elite tangible traits and everyone is b***hing about him not having enough high end talent around him for him to be successful?

sounds like a great plan

He's been in the mvp convo with Brandon Aiyuk as a #1 receiver. I honestly think we should find him a better #1, but OL is the priority atm

He wasn't even the leading MVP candidate on his own team…Dak was #2 in MVP voting and no one here thinks he's a great QB and it was a f**king awful contract.

BA was a great WR last yr pretending he wasn't is being a bias and dumb for no god damn reason…love how you forgot to say he had the OPOY as well.

so Brock will be good so long as we have an absolute unit team around him every yr…sure no problem, especially when his contract goes from $900K to $60m. Stop it

yeah he got 'chopped' so to speak

So one year with Jefferson and Addison and he's a better qb because of arm talent? You don't think Brock would like to have receivers like that?

No team that starts Screenbo as the #2 receiver has a stacked team.

It's like saying you have a stacked offense with Devin Hester as your #2 receiver.

No I think Brock will be good as long as we have a good OL and decent weapons. I'd like to get better weapons, but as long as we have the OL I think we can compete

f**k out of here. Deebo had like 1,200 total yards and 12 TDs last yr.

Good OL and decent weapons cost money.

I want to make it clear I don't hate Brock and I got no problem with him being the guy for a couple yrs. Investing $250M is a horrible idea and shouldn't be on the table at all.

Dude what? He makes a million dollars. Him not having enough high end talent around him has nothing to do with us "massively overpaying the QB."

Yes, we need an upgraded OL. But when your OL is already suspect and your HOF left tackle misses a third of the season, you have issues.

How many NFL players sign a contract for $___M and see every penny of that. Can we please stop with the dramatics about paying him $250M? No matter what that number is, he will likely only see like half of that, and some of which will be part of a signing bonus.

I swear NY, I never expected to have these conversations with you. You seemed to have a better grasp on how the league works than what you have been demonstrating.
