He can ride the bench.

If you can get him for $55m APY and $160m gtd I would do it - with the trade off being in structure. Similar to Hurts. Salary cap will not be an issue. That's mostly a fan created narrative.

You *can* pay everybody if you have an owner willing to pay out massive gtd money. Thankfully the Niners have exactly that. The Niners may be one of the most cash rich sports franchise in the world.

Deebo had one great year partly because he played RB. Aiyuk has one good season. I look at a player like Nabers, and it's hard to give Aiyuk excuses for QB play before Brock. He's just not a real #1 compared to the rest of the league. Juice is overrated too. Kittle is amazing. Him and cmc are the only ones that live up to their all pro title on the field

Deebo 2021: 1700 yards and 14 TDs on 136 touches

Deebo 2023: 1111 yards and 12 TDs on 97 touches

He was more of a cog in a great offense in 23. He was the offense in 21

He wasn't the offense. All the usual guys had big games in that time. Deebo was just getting highlight runs.

He got our season sparked in week 10 and the offense mostly ran through him from then on. The offense got stagnant and the wideback thing saved our season. The wideback is no longer new and we can't rely on Deebo like that anymore

It was 3-0 49ers in the start of the 2nd when Deebo had his TD run. After that Kittle and Aiyuk both had TDs and the 49ers won 30-10. FWIW last season Deebo had 225 yards rushing and 5 TDs so it wasn't just a one year thing.

Last year was Deebo as a cog though. CMC was the man defenses keyed on last year. I'm not saying he can't have good seasons in the right situation, but the all pro from 21 is never coming back
I was listening to sports radio and they brought up the point as to who Brock has helped elevate their game and I'm not sure I have an answer to that outside of maybe JJ. They then went on to discuss paying him 60+ million a year or paying a stop gap like Cousins or trading for Carr for half that price. Now I'll take Brock over either of these guys talent and age wise but I wouldn't totally be against the idea.

That was my question who out there is better than Brock that the 49ers could pick up? Some say Darnold but he's had one good year out of about what 8 years? Brock has had two and been to an NFC title game and a Superbowl and would have been back to the playoffs this year if half the team was not a walking hospital ward.

Would BA even be considered top 30 if he didn't get a year with Brock?
It's kinda dumb asking if he's elevated guys like Kittle or CMC. They've established what they are

What's telling is he's elevated the pure WRs all while the TE maintained his all pro level, and the gadget guy can still produce with him too when he shows up like Sunday

Purdy elevates literally everybody.

Everybody had a career year because of him. He makes good players great and great players elite. He made CMC the OPOY. He made Jennings and Mason household names. He got Aiyuk paid. And he made Banks, Brendle and McKivitz seem serviceable.

Purdy elevated everyone.
