Someone like Will Rogers III out of Washington. Or sign someone like a Mac Jones or Kyle Trask. There isn't need to sign Purdy to anything more than $35M a year. If he takes a 5 year, $100M deal, then sure. I wouldn't mind him at $20M a year, but at $60M? No thanks.

To the extent that Purdy has issues with inclement weather I think it's less to do with hand size and more just geveral inexperience. He grew up in Arizona, snow and rain are both exceedingly rare in the areas he lived in and play high-school ball at. He played in cold weather at Iowa State but very few sloppy, super rainy or blizzard like games so I think for him it's just a matter of learning to adapt and gaining confidence playing on those kinds of conditions which, let's face it, are always going to very rare playing in the NFC West.

You also have to answer the question - what were the factors and variables that led Brock to being the last player selected in the draft? What were the reasons he was almost never drafted?

Same reason Trevor Lawrence was considered a generational prospect. Same reason Trey Lance was a top 5 pick. Same reason Brock's the only QB from his draft that can play

brock has some major red flags. as i watch him this year he has no zip on any of his passes. the final pass vs MIA is a lil flat or out route and it should be housed the other way cuz it's just a soft toss. passes downfield hang like that one to rick. and in conditions he just struggles including struggling for 3 quarters of a playoff game. we nearly got walked off as the 1 seed by a 9 win team. teams are adjusting to what he does well and i don't see a ton of counter up our sleeves. sure he will be better with cmc and BA, but so would any functional QB. his soft tosses have nothing to do with cmc and BA out, he's just not putting anything on em.

I wonder how espn ranks Brock higher than Darnold and Herbert with their rocket arms. Are they not seeing the soft tosses? What are they missing?

You're new here so I'll cut you some slack on the small hands. Purdy's hands are 9 1/4, the same as Patrick Mahomes. Also, he is listed as 6' 1".

This is not true as a general statement. There has been some discussion about whether his shoulder is bothering him, but we will never know. What is clear is that on a good number of passes, like the one you cite to Pearsall, the front of the pocket collapses leaving him with no room to step up. Allen may be the only guy in the league to throw that ball out in front. However, we have seen Purdy put that ball out there last year.

Your basic premise is lacking basis.

Of course Brock's teammates are going to say nothing but positive things about Brock - they have to.

But nonbiased analysts have all stated they would be wary of paying Brock too much based on his average performance this year and regression.

it's just an observation. i have had it confirmed by about 20 posters in here saying the same thing, even speculating that there is some injury at play. i don't know about injury, i just know what i am watching on gamedays.

Non-biased? All those folks were against him simply because of where he was drafted. They have continuously downplayed any success he has had. They have been quick to credit his teammates and the HC but not him.
