I've been screaming this from the roof tops all season. The WR's and receiving threats that we have were all drafted for Jimmy to match Kyle's zone beating route combinations. We do not have (and have never had under Kyle) the type of WR's who can get open against man and/or in situations where we have to pass (coming from behind). We now have a QB that can do the latter, but are seriously lacking the weapons to go along with him.
FAR easier to find WR's/weapons that fit Purdy than it is to find a QB with arm talent like Josh Allen. Build the team around Purdy and his instincts, athleticism, anticipation, and accuracy.
Ehh I agree with this to an extent. Brock was excellent against man coverage last season. The difference was Aiyuk didn't play this year. When your best WR against man is out, your 2nd best receiver (who isn't great against man) is now being covered by the other teams best corner. So Aiyuks injury effectively made Brock lose his best 2 WRs when going against man.
Brock didn't just forget how to play against man. His numbers against man fell off a cliff this year, and I don't believe people truly grasp how big of a loss Aiyuk was.
