He literally gave Rice the idea to run "the hill," which is Rice's famous off-season workout routine. Yeah, 49ers fans should know this. This is stuff that every 49er fan posting on forums knew 20 years ago. You guys don't, because you started following football in 2018 when it became cool for the hipsters. That's why you think Stat Paddy is an amazeballs QB and the greatest human ever.

Rice running the hill is literally famous, and it came from Craig. Rice got his work ethic from Craig. The fact you can't even grasp the meaning of basic words and their implications demonstrates you really shouldn't be posting on forums.

"Define loafer"...so now after claiming that saying that Screenbo is the biggest loafer I've ever seen means I must not have seen much, you can't even define the word?

You're a joke.

I wonder what Rice's work ethic was at Mississippi State.
Here's a little hint for you: Most football players didn't work out the way Roger Craig did back in the 80s. Many of them would go as far as smoking cigarettes in the off-season. Without Roger Craig, there is absolutely no reason to think that Jerry Rice ever even thinks to train the way he did, as that was not common practice in those days.

The main point is that comparing Screenbo to Roger Craig doesn't work, despite the stylistic similarities, because Craig had a legendary work ethic and Screenbo is the laziest player ever. Craig would never take a play off. His weakness was actually that he didn't follow his blocking; he looked for contact and would slam into defenders rather than waiting for his teammates. Screenbo loafs on clearing routes, loafs in the run game, and runs the worst routes ever.

The business about Craig and Rice is true but no justification for insulting other posters. So don't.

Ok whoa here 'FB expert'..clearly, you are a noob..cause I have stated many a time that I have been watching the Niners and have been a fan since '88. So, save the condescending hipster talk dude. I fell in love when I was 11 years old watchin Joe, Jerry and Walsh. They are the reason I love football.

And I have never once said Paddy is amazeballs and the greatest human ever. Clearly, you have never read my posts lolol. It's weird that you give such a flying f**k about a workout routine lol. Don't presume I dnt know s**t..write s**t better.

Not sure what the debate is over, but knowing these little "did you know" coffee book stories doesn't make anyone an expert.

What's up, Chowder. Got real busy for a while there, but things are back to normal. Miss everyone, can't wait to see what the front office does this offseason. It's been going on 30 years since our last chip. This offseason will determine how much longer we have to wait. Getting very impatient waiting, but's it's coming. Still, fun talking shop. It's a great diversion from the daily grind of life. Cheers!

One thing about football players from the late 70's and early 80's is their work ethic before they became pro players. Back in those days players had jobs in the summer-time for that matter all year round working on farms and helping their fathers on their jobs. Jerry spoke about helping his dad lay brick and how throwing and catching the bricks helped him become a better pass catcher.

QB's have bad games in weather some more than others but anyone seen last nights game? Geno Smith made no plays down field in the rain and he had his #1 deep threat too.

Geno doesn't make plays down field even if it isn't raining.
