It's pretty funny with all the hype of how bad of a year Purdy is having… Stroud, Murray and Lawrence are all having objectively even worse years yet they were all crowned waaaay faster than Purdy ever was…
It's what fans do. Quick to crown players that have one good year nd just as quick to throw them under the bus if they struggle.
Jalen Hurts had a horrible season last year. 15 picks? He's been excellent this season.

excellent due to running Barkley into the ground.. He hasn't had to throw as much

Hurts has been average at best this year.....top tier Oline/weapons/running game and his stats are mid.

O Connell needs an Oscar, golden globe, the heisman, Nobel peace prize, coach of the year, coach of the decade and whatever other award they can give him, for what he's done with Darnold.

Darnold was #3 overall draft pick for a reason, the talent was always there, it just takes some QB's longer. see Baker, for example.

Even when he was with SF, dude has had bust written all over him. It took a really good coach and coaching staff not to mention an unbelievable receiving corps to throw to. But darnold is getting the ball to his guys. Hes playing great, im actually really happy for the guy,

Darnold is playing out of his mind right now but you still can't trust him to not see ghosts against the best D's, until he doesn't. In a one game takes all, Kyle would be going into them with a 60m dollar Brock who is: <Darnold < Baker <=Love < Allen <Mahommes <Burrow <Herbert <Stafford >Midget =G Smith < Jackson >Williams. This is no stats, who does Kyle go in to games with, with the better qb. Only a poor owner such as York allows a pop gun arm to be paid 60m

He was on the head schemer's roster. Darnold made at least 5 big throws that Brock cannot make to help win that game.
Darnold, Baker, Stafford, Burrow, Hurts, Prescott, Wilson, etc have all had down years, especially early in their career.
You're not going to find an Allen or Mahomes just waiting to be signed.
Purdy will be great but no QB would be successful behind this line. It's impossible.

I agree.
you can have the #1 receiving corps in the league but if you can't get them the ball, it all wouldn't matter. I don't think Purdy could get Jefferson and Addison the ball the way Darnold has been doing all season.

Watching Daniels and Penix. You can't pay Brock 60m attm. They took a flier with Trey to finally have the qb firepower and they need to keep searching.
