Nothing much to counter, if Darnie lost most of his best players..would be a different convo right now. He has improved sure but that whole team is on fire right now..while we are all busted up. Purdy has not been perfect but the talent is still there and I do think he is injured some/having problems with his arm, despite what the team has told us. Idk.

I think Purdy tries to do too much, as I have said before. He likely doesn't trust players and probably feels like it's all on his shoulders and that is when he can get into I guess, "hero ball". Being in this situation teamwise would be hard on any qb.

This is a learning experience for him..he is still quite young..will grow from it. Like Shanny was saying. But to just cry for Darnold..well..I mean, he said he got better from being on the 49ers..playing with Brock etc. Should say quite a bit about our team.

Adapt and grow..

Patience, we will be back

Yeah, just thinking out load. Love to upgrade with Darnold, but that ain't happening. Purdy, should be sufficient enough to execute Shannahan's offense. Just needs his playmaker's healthy most of the season. Healthy players coming back, a good draft, extend Brock and some FA pickups, we'll be right back contending. You can't sleep either, huh? I'm an insomniac, when people are getting up is when I usually fall asleep. If, I do fall asleep, lol. It can be a b***h.

Problem is it might not be an upgrade. The Browns were so desperate to upgrade from Baker they signed Watson. The Jets needed to upgrade from Darnold. The panthers had both of them, but they didn't have Evans/Jefferson or a good system and they both failed (just like they would with this team). We haven't had a receiver as good as either of those 2 since TO. I'd rather give Brock real receivers and OL before I jump ship
We were able to beat Baker this year while Moody missed a bunch of FGs. Mike Evans didn't play that day. I want OL first, but I really want a true #1 on the outside. The best we've had in 20 years was a 33 year old Boldin. Just wild

There was actually a 16point swing on STs. 3 missed kicks and muffed punt resulting in td. We still beat the Evansless Bucs

We have our #1. His name is Aiyuk. Whether you like him or not, we paid him like a #1. So he's our #1.

A #1 is in the eye of the beholder.

Paying someone like a top players doesn't make him one. It's one of the problems that is infecting the NFL right now. Teams are so afraid of losing any halfway decent QB or skill player that they are overpaying. Operating out of fear isn't a good business model.
I already posted this stat but will again. Last season, Aiyuk, CMC and Deebo combined for 41 TD's. This year, they've combined for 2. That production is hard for anyone to do without. Add in extremely poor pass protection and Brock barely stood a chance this year.

He had an incredible MVP caliber year last season, he's only 25, he's going to get better with experience. and for all the new Sam Darnold/Vikings fans on this board, Darnold was literally one of the worst QB's in the league when he was Brock's age. Purdy was far better in his first full season starting.
Have Faith, Faithful.

He may be about s good as they will get for awhile. They aren't going to spend a hgh draft pick on another QB any time soon.

We're stuck with Brock. Sometimes, you don't get what you want, but you get what you need as they say.

Okay great. So who do we replace him with?

And please don't say Darnold. You'll get even sicker of him within a month.

Off topic, would be nice to have someone like Klay Thompson on the Warriors right now.

Man look at penix and jayden last night. Even Bo nix for Denver. These guys have strong arms and can make solid plays. I'd take any of them over Purdy right now, Purdy hasn't made a big throw in the 4th quarter for what feels like 7 weeks. We easily are a playoff team if dude stepped up. Really disappointed in his performance.

His superbowl performance... He was deer in headlights 90% of the night imo. Had check downs available, rushed every throw cause pressure. Chiefs own this guy and shanny.
