Potential nightmare scenario. It is his elbow, per Kyle.

Really? You don't think playing a QB who needs elbow surgery in the off-season when the team isn't even in the playoff race anymore is a fireable offense? What about playing Fred Warner when he has a broken bone in his ankle in this same situation?
Did you forget what he did to RG3 in Washington?
did you used to be someone else here ?

You could tell by his face he knew what the problem was and it was serious. He has felt that before

We're going to save a lot of money and we'll have to find a starting QB to play or at least to compete with Brock.
Is is what it is.

Jimmy also had like one good season? Was it even a whole season?
Purdy has looked better than both and accomplished more than both. He isn't s**t but has come up short in some prove it moments but I guess we're forgetting how good Burrow is doing right now. Or how Allen and Lamar and others have also come up short in key moments.
Purdy looked good surrounded by pro-bowlers. The real test of a QB is how he looks with average talent. And yeah, the fan base though Kap and Jimmy G were the answers for awhile, but they all kept declining to the point where they were unplayable. Purdy is in the middle of a slide.
If the 49ers give him a huge contract, it'll be one of the worst mistakes in franchise history.
Not saying he sucks, but he's very average.
Most qbs look good with great players around them. Even the great mahomes looks better with pro bowlers around him and way more human when they are not. He is about the only one who is able to keep a team afloat who may be missing as many parts as we are.

If it is the same injury there is no way they can pay him top 5 QB money. Too many questions

Facts. Last year he had a top 3 WR, the best offensive weapon in football, the best all around TE in football, and the best LT in the league. Most average QB's would look great. And that is what I think he is a good to average QB.

The issue is the long-term commitment as if he regresses again next year we are stuck and cannot move off him and go all-in on another QB without a huge cap hit.

If Purdy is a bust that makes 4 qbs Kyle has missed on, why do you think he will magically do better
