The issue is the long-term commitment as if he regresses again next year we are stuck and cannot move off him and go all-in on another QB without a huge cap hit.

You mean keeps regressing.

It was a hybrid. It is the new Tommy John. More advanced and supposed to be a better repair

Internal brace

Yes, they repair the ligament and put a bracelet around it. It is a new version of Tommy John. Shohei got it done, and a lot of the pitchers are now getting it done also because it is supposed to be a stronger repair

Hope he is ok. Not a good outcome tonight. Very concerning performance. Great stats but the picks and missed throws continue. It's becoming consistent.. think long and hard before presenting him a team breaker contract. We have a lot of needs. A lot.

Jimmy G looked good for awhile, but fooled us. BP looked good for awhile, but ........

baker but i happen to have a like for baker going back a while. he's got some moxie himself, like brock. but he's got more of an arm also. the lack of arm on brock is really giving me issues. i have to admit i was wrong on this one. i thought brock's arm was fine or good enough and this year it's just frustrating to watch the lack of any velo. the ball to rick is an example, it was a duck and should have been a walk in td. accurate ball but not much on that.

Same thoughts. He has an inability to throw a strike. Even his completions look ugly.

nothing in NFL is long term. look at cousins, he signed a 4 year deal, they draft his replacement like a month after he signs. now cousins is benched and basically done. this all happened in 2024. that's a 4 year deal and it lasted about 9 months. we sign brock and if we don't like it he's out. we'll do a smart deal.

Purdy says arm was "on fire". No UCL injury.

Sounds like just a funny bone.

When a pitcher's arm feels like it is on fire, they usually get Tommy John soon after in most cases

lol you guys love to hate

Tommy John is from overuse. Not a facemask to the funny bone.

Tommy John or the internal brace procedure if to fix a torn UCL, no matter if it is torn from overuse or sudden trama

None, because unlike last year, he was hitting wide open receivers that everybody in football could hit.

I never bragged about the Bears game, either, because he played like garbage in that despite the stats. He underthrew a wide open Juicecheck downfield, underthrew Jennings badly on the deep completion where the ball barely made it 40 yards, and none of his throws were particularly impressive.

You, on the other hand, are incapable of making actual observations about football.

The trauma on this play doesn't seem like it would strain the ucl

I don't know, never tore mine, but the burning arm feeling and not being able to throw is concerning

I'll be ok. I didn't marry myself to the take that Brock was at any point the best QB in football. That's just an easy one :)
Throwing two picks in any game is not good. However, it is killer if you D cannot get any turnovers. In the last 5 games, the D has taken it away only one time. That means the QB has to be 99% perfect to keep his team in the game. Tonight, if we had taken it away ONE time, and Moody made his kicks, the conversation would be different.

The defense was the biggest problem again tonight, as it has been most of the year...but that is another thread.

They already ruled out a UCL injury.

You can't be serious. Have you ever played tackle football before? And it's the NFL, these guys are professionals. Of course they have a say. Acting like the coaches can just play a guy who's injured without their consent and desire to play. Lol nonsense.

Are you incapable of reading or something?

I'm talking about the fact they can BENCH a guy without their consent. You think they're FORCED to play them?

My criticism of Kyle is that he is ALLOWING Brock and Warner to play when they're injured.

Fine, same argument but different angle. Coaches absolutely allow players to gauge their own injuries and pain levels and whether they can play or not. You're kidding yourself by arguing that players have zero say or influence on whether they play or not. You've clearly never played tackle football nor understand the game as it relates to this.

Do you not understand how time works or something? Brock was the best QB in football in 2023 by a landslide. He even received honors from midwits for his play, which tells you how undeniable it was.

Nothing Brock does after 2023 affects the simple fact that he was by far the best QB in football in 2023.

Nobody is going, "well, we can't say that Aaron Rodgers used to be a great QB, because look at his play on the Jets in 2024!"

Well, nobody who knows anything about football.
