Tommy John is from overuse. Not a facemask to the funny bone.
Tommy John or the internal brace procedure if to fix a torn UCL, no matter if it is torn from overuse or sudden trama
They already ruled out a UCL injury.
You can't rule out a UCL without an MRI. Pitchers pass tests all the time without an MRI then try and pitch the next game or after an IL stint and can't, then the MRI shows them a tear.
Even a small tear can cause discomfort are require surgery. A UCL injury isn't all torn or nothing.
He wouldn't be getting an MRI on his elbow for any other ligament or nerve. Lol

Nothing Brock does after 2023 affects the simple fact that he was by far the best QB in football in 2023.
Nobody is going, "well, we can't say that Aaron Rodgers used to be a great QB, because look at his play on the Jets in 2024!"
Well, nobody who knows anything about football.
It's laughable that you think he was the best QB in 2023. But you're also a person who thinks Pat Mahomes isn't great. It is what it is.

Hope he is ok. Not a good outcome tonight. Very concerning performance. Great stats but the picks and missed throws continue. It's becoming consistent.. think long and hard before presenting him a team breaker contract. We have a lot of needs. A lot.
Missed throws and picks are who he is now, we've had a long enough sample size. Late game poor play as well. I honestly don't feel he's a franchise QB worth 60M and he's capable of carrying the team on his back.

Rex Ryan, Terry Bradshaw, and Howie Long all compared him to Joe Montana.
Even the midwit fans and players voted for him to start in the Pro Bowl. He was leading the MVP race until the Ravens game.
Stat Paddy, meanwhile, led an offense that was 15th in points and ranked near the bottom in all efficiency categories.
It's easy to overreact to the interceptions. Purdy played a really good game, sailed a pass on the first pick and got the 2nd pick jumped. 2 mistakes. You know what didn't help? Kyle Shanahan calling TWO run plays in the entire 2nd half. TWO. T-W-O… and we were up 8 at half. Wtf is up with that? Maybe he doesn't throw those picks if the defense didn't know we were throwing 100%. We were not in any position where running the ball was out of question. No s**t he balled out in the first half… we were so balanced and had an effective run game with play action. Everybody chill tf out… He's still our guy.

And he is getting an MRI tomorrow
With his history the bar for an elbow mri is low
Also you can't rule out anl UCL injury without an MRI. They don't think it is a UCL, but don't know. Hence the MRI
Brock Purdy said initial tests on his UCL (elbow ligament) were ok, but that his arm felt "on fire" after he was sacked and his from behind. He said he'll have an MRI tomorrow to get a better idea of the severity of the issue.

Purdy has said before that he reads the Safety (like all QB's do), not sure what happened there on the second pick. Single high Safety and no doubt he sees him.

Yes 2 mistakes that cost them the game.
I'd say it help cost the game but didn't cost the game. The defense still has to stop them from scoring, it's not like Brock Purdy threw two pick-sixes.

Easy to put all the blame on the qb. Not forcing one single punt and giving up 40 points cost us the game. Jake moody leaving 7 total points out there didn't help. Kyle abandoning the run game cost us the game. Purdy deserves his share of the blame but wake up. We gave up 40 points.

Good point.
The first half was a perfect balance of runs and passes. Detroit was confused on just about every play.
Then the second half it is all passes and Detroit just sat back and waited for the ball. Kyle must have lost his play sheet. Strange.
