Special talent at QB plays a massive part in 4th QR comebacks.

Brock has Special Talent. We saw it last year.

People like to conveniently leave out the real fact that Dan Quinn, HC and D coordinator of the Altanta Falcons, had a huge hand in blowing that lead. But sure, lets blame Kyle for not stopping the GOAT QB from leading a historical comeback because it fits a tired, disproven and worn-out narrative because you do not like him.

Also, lets see how Ben Johnson does with a lesser talented roster. For all we know, he could flame out and end up being the next Adam Gase.

Tons of blame to go around in thst game. Kyle and Dan both were pretty lame in thst second half.

The long pass to Pearsall who was wide open down the sideline was one example of the difference between a QB with a great arm and an average arm. Pearsall had to slow down and the defender was able to tackle him. A QB like Allen, Burrow or Mahomes puts the ball more in front or gets the ball there quicker and Pearsall scores. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of strong armed QBs that can also play the position well. Still teams keep drafting these workout wonders and hope they can teach them how to play in the NFL. Some do but so many teams rush these guys in before they have a chance to learn that we see a lot of busts. Teams used to draft a QB and let him sit for 2 or 3 years before they threw him to the wolves. Now it's gewt him in as soon as possible so we can take advantage of his low rookie salary.

Is Sam Darnold a special talent? Jared Goff? Baker Mayfield?

They were considered that when drafted, then had to work their way back up.

Last season CMC had an MVP like season, this season we didn't have that and it showed.

More excuses

Nope just facts of how it's always been…I know it's tough to have a conversation about it because it disproves statistical propaganda, very easily

Burrow doesnt have arm strength like the other two you mention. Elite AF either way.

No, that's the difference between an injured Brock and an uninjured Brock. Brock didn't underthrow any deep balls last season whatsoever.

Stat Paddy doesn't even throw that ball to begin with. He averaged 10.0 yards per completion this season, which is lower than any starting QB in 49ers franchise history.

Where do you guys stand on paying Brock top 5 money?

He is a good QB and you need a good QB to win, but you can't strip down the roster like Buffalo and KC and expect to win. Either way they are going to go through roster turnover with aging stars and high priced players that are coming back from injury that may not be the same.

yes. what we are seeing is that QBs rise and fall with their situation. now even in a bad situation a guy like sam has a flat ridiculous arm. goff i have to give some tip of the cap he was making some real throws last night.
I just hope he isn't hurt and gets paid. He deserves it

Brock Purdy has special talent. But to play every game without your best players and a good defense will make you look worst than you are. Every QB needs a good team around him, IDGAF what QB that is. Every time Brady has won a Super Bowl it's with a good defense and with his star players. Every time Mahomes has won a Super Bowl it's with his star players, Travis Kelce and a good defense. Aaron Rodgers won a Super Bowl with a top 3 defense.

Your team just needs to be healthy and you need a damn good defense to win it all. I won't mention the refs, oops I just did.

Purdy is Hella accurate, though. I'd rather have an average arm that is accurate, than a bazooka that is wild.
