Love is not very good....so far. Showed some glimpses last year but pretty meh this year.

Yea he's been okay for a guy that supposedly has it all. Anybody with arm talent that goes on a half season run is automatically better than Brock in some peoples minds. We'll see

I'd rather save the skepticism for those guys and the optimism for our guy. I don't see the point in pumping up these other dudes when the odds are they won't live up to the hype either

These are Brock's measureables compared to the rest of the QBs drafted since the combine was a thing

Dude is small in every sense of the word with every measurable they track for a QB.

He just looks small compared to the rest of the league.

Dude we're not talking about normal joe blow guys walking down the road. He's small as s**t compared to his peers. My god I have bigger arms and hands than him and I'm not a NFL freak athlete by any means lol.

to me you don't look at the other guys with critical glasses and our guy with rose glasses. that's just bias in both directions. just look at all the QBs honestly.

"would have the arm talent to back safeties off." That is not how football works. That has never been how football works. Safeties don't "back off" to respect a QB's arm talent.

Brock is currently 2nd in air yards per completion. He was 2nd last year as well.

Coverages sure as s**t do. His arm talent is below avg and no stat is gonna cover that up.

There is a reason why he is Mr. Irrelevent....and some of those reasons are physical attributes.
His arm is not below average.

Just wanted to drop in and say HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS HAVE A SAFE ONE!!!! We got one more week of this before this mess is over. Hang in there!!!
QB development is up and down. People love to get hyped on the arrow up games/moments and then pessimistic on the arrow down games/moments. Ultimately its a process that needs years, and as long as the overall arrow is going up up you have something.

Going through progressions have having pocket awareness are skills that very few young QB's have. The more Purdy sees the better he will get, but it takes patience. People are so ridiculous constantly trying to toss him aside because he threw a couple picks. Same derpy fans chanting for David Carr.

Absolutely, not sure why this is even a debatable thing?

he's small and doesn't have top end tangible traits. He's had to be good at processing and anticipation because he doesn't have those other traits. Overall I think he's taken a step back with those two traits especially late in the game.

facts are we're gonna have to maintain a really good roster for it to all work. That gets harder if he wants Dak money

That's not what I'm doing. They both have a chance to become great, and they both have a chance to crash and burn. I'll support my guy while that is still the case

What current NFL starting QB has a weaker arm? I'm not talking about being accurate.

his arm sucks. i can say i was wrong here when i was debating ny and saying his arm is fine. it's been frustrating to watch his throws all season. i don't see any QB lobbing em like we do. you just don't see that around the nfl. i appreciate how fast he can play the game from a between the ears perspective.

Theres so much dumb here.

Half his passing yards came off YAC last yr. Top 5 in the league. Quit acting like having pro-bowlers all around him didn't matter.

CMC had 1,800 yards of offense and 21tds. Why is Brock playing mid this yr if talent around him doesn't matter? Shouldn't he be slinging it and putting up 40Tds with like 5 INTs? And save me the he's hurt b******t.

HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT HE WAS 2ND IN THE NFL IN AIR YARDS PER COMPLETION LAST YEAR?

What is it going to take for this to sink in?

Your "YAC" (RAC) stats are meaningless. Every QB gets tons of yards from RAC. He was getting more yards through air yards than all but 1 QB last season.

It's also comical coming from somebody who is a 49ERS FAN. Do you have any idea how many of Montana and Young's numbers came from RAC? This is just absurd. I can't believe 49er fans actually go this route.

You know who had more RAC than the 49ers' last year? None other than the Chiefs. And Stat Paddy's numbers were terrible.

Brock is injured this year (saying otherwise is what's dumb), which is why he has struggled. If he hits all of the easy throws he has missed this year, which he never missed last year, this team would be heading to the playoffs and he'd be talked about as an MVP candidate.

Some examples of easy Brock throws that he would have nailed last year:

The out-and-up to Jennings against Arizona that would have been a TD.

Before his first INT against AZ, he sailed an easy throw to Aiyuk.

He threw an easy drag route behind Screenbo vs. Dallas in the first half. Also threw a wide open underneath throw behind Screenbo vs. Seahawks on Thursday night football, but Screenbo made the catch anyway.

Underthrew opening vertical to Screenbo vs. Cowboys that should have been a TD.

He underthrew Pearsall on an open post vs. Rams. Last season, he didn't underthrow a deep ball the entire season. All of his incompletions vertically were overthrows. This year, he has had so many underthrows I can't even keep count.

Underthrew both Kittle and Cowing on what should have been deep TDs vs. Chiefs.

He also missed Pearsall on an easy out route vs. Rams.

Threw short of Jennings on an out or comeback against...can't even remember.

Hung it inside on out throw to Jennings on 3rd and 10 vs. Lions.

Sailed it way over Screenbo's head on open underneath throw vs. Rams.

Sailed it over somebody's head (didn't make out who it was at the time) early on vs. Bucs on a scramble. The player was standing about 2 yards away from him.

Threw behind Aiyuk on slant @ Rams.

He's been among the least accurate QBs in football this year after being a mobile version of Drew Brees last year. But yeah, it just happened randomly, because Trey Lance is awesome.
