QB Brock Purdy Thread

The pass protection was doing ok in the first half and he's picking their D apart. In the second half, it started leaking and Shany continue to be pass happy. You add those bad throws and that's what we got.

Needs to stop pressing and run the offense in 2025.

This is very telling folks. Add in the fact Purdy cannot play in any type of weather - it's just not a good look.

Next year in 2025 we just need to always be in the lead AND hope there is no wet games. Purdy will be OK. LFG!

Also of note he did it against man coverage too. So with a good line he can produce.

He just played in the rain vs Green Bay in the playoffs!!

How many rainy snowy games do the 9ers play in every season? You people act like it rains and snows all year round in the NFL!!
if we don't get a deal early and on time we might as well just sign that one QB on the vikings

Stats are fun. If you look at the last 40 years, the NY Giants are the best team in the NFL East.

You mean the game where he struggled with accuracy completing 58% of his passes? The game CMC had 130 total yards and 2 TDs?

He did some good things but his arm is below average. Multiple times we had guys open and his noodle arm either caused a more difficult catch or allowed defender to make up ground. This isn't something you can improve to the degree you'd need to. Bummer

The long pass to Pearsall who was wide open down the sideline was one example of the difference between a QB with a great arm and an average arm. Pearsall had to slow down and the defender was able to tackle him. A QB like Allen, Burrow or Mahomes puts the ball more in front or gets the ball there quicker and Pearsall scores. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of strong armed QBs that can also play the position well. Still teams keep drafting these workout wonders and hope they can teach them how to play in the NFL. Some do but so many teams rush these guys in before they have a chance to learn that we see a lot of busts. Teams used to draft a QB and let him sit for 2 or 3 years before they threw him to the wolves. Now it's gewt him in as soon as possible so we can take advantage of his low rookie salary.

Burrow doesnt have arm strength like the other two you mention. Elite AF either way.

I really dont get how the talent credibility of #1 Overall picks continue to somehow enter the conversation of "does Brock have enough of the tools/talent need?"

That one QB on the Vikings is going to get a huge deal from the Vikings.
