That's crock, Montana had a pop gun and won is 3 Championships.
That was 30+ years ago. His arm was better than Brock's he was as accurate as you could be and had the clutch gene. Brock hasn't been clutch at all.

The Jets would do it, they'll do anything.
No they wouldn't. There is no teams that are gonna give up legit compensation and pay him Dak money. Why is that? Because he's not worth that.

I mean objectively we should all agree he's better than Jimmy.
He's a solid starting QB in the NFL imo. he's gonna be massively overpaid and that's the problem.
You always advocate players maximizing their market value without repercussions......you were never concerned about overpaying players.....like BA...
SF let the market decide what BA's worth is…why can't they do the same with Brock?
tell me a team that's gonna give up top end draft capital and pay Brock $250M? None that's who. BA had multiple teams lining up to do that.

End of the day, it doesnt matter the how. So long as the players maximize their pay cheque, right? Food on the table.
Market of 5 or 1 is irrelevant. The impact is the same. Purdy clearly deserves it......

A lesser expensive team doesn't mean it's going to be a lesser talented team. Your assuming, which not good.![]()
So overpay just because? We should make Dre the highest paid LBer as well, right?

Like someone mentioned, with good offseason and a weak schedule, he'll tear it up next year.

Because if he kills it next year, he's going to be even more expensive. Duh?
Let the market decide what his worth is. Teams aren't lining up to sign Brock or trade for him. Why should SF be force to pay him whatever he wants?

According to all your other comments on this matter...Yes. This exactly what you advocate for.

Not if we go into his contract negotiations as dumb as the fans want us too.
