Because if he kills it next year, he's going to be even more expensive. Duh?
Let the market decide what his worth is. Teams aren't lining up to sign Brock or trade for him. Why should SF be force to pay him whatever he wants?
Because that is what players that hold out do! BA, Deebo Bosa...you were all in on these players getting every last dime. There was no market really, they were all still under contract but they had leverage and so does Purdy.
