I don't remember Lamar getting low balled.. like how some want to low ball Purdy?
Look I'm not gonna make that some long back and forth. SF offered him one deal and then basically ghosted him for months. They didn't negotiate so he requested a trade. SF didn't have to let him go talk to other teams to negotiate money. Turns out there were multiple teams willing to pay him a lot of cash and trade for him.
im saying do the same with Brock, his agent might not find a deal that's making him Dak cash anywhere….so then what? SF doesn't have to give him that type of contract. I don't see a Dak market for Brock.
I say all this knowing that SF more than likely doesn't do that. I'm guessing they will offer him a deal that has a ton of fluff in it with a high total figure but not the GTD that Dak got.
Hey i'm just saying i don't think it make sense to get other teams involved unless it comes down to a serious trade. I don't remember Lamar being dangled out there and having a buyer. All so they can say no thanks we will keep him for less. He did become the highest paid QB at the time.
The way you are suggesting of fishing Brock out for anyone to offer whatever they are willing to shell out isn't ethical. You don't do that to anyone unless you really don't care about that player. Plus, not me, you or anyone would take the bait of giving some a serious offer if i'm being used as a pawn for someone elses negotiation tactics.
You bring up Dak money, you think Dak had a market for that much league wide? no way
I don't see why money is an issue, unless you think he's not good. Then yeah, you don't pay avg or less QBs
