just bringing up rodgers is lol
Does anyone know or can find out the list of QBs that have lost in the Super Bowl then come back to win it and who was the most recent? Not a dig at Purdy or anything, but I just want to know the percentages or probabilities of it happening.

*Not including Brady or Players that have won it first*

Thanks ahead if anyone can find that out!

I believe there's three: Len Dawson, Bob Griese, and John Elway.

Ithink Stabach as well, he lost to the Colts.

Morton was Dallas' QB in SB V. Staubach was on the roster though.

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomo, and Ben Rothelisberger, Peyton Manning.

These players all won in their first trip and lost later appearances.

Oh he didn't say lost their first. I just thought he meant QB's that have lost before then won after.

It was towards the bottom of his post. He didn't want those players included.

For me though there isn't a huge difference, and I just don't put a ton of weight into things like this anyway.
To add to my last post, I wouldn't be worried about the infrequency of something like this in the past if Joe Burrow was the QB as an example.

That's what couldn't remember did Morton play the next year or was it Staubach

Brock didn't lose us that game though

I'm wondering if there's a stat for OCs/ HC who have lost multiple Super Bowls to come back and win. I just know of Andy Reid, now he's being handed wins.

Staubach finished the next season as the starter but Morton started it and Landry alternated a lot between them until a certain point in the season. They won the SB that year against the Dolphins.
