are you suggesting we just liquidate cmc and trent for cap space? what are you saying here?

Won't they be back?

that's what i am thinking.

Tua couldn't extend plays ut he's a more accurate deep passer. Tyreek and Waddle would need to constantly slow up for Purdy's deep passes. It's not his fault that he doesn't have a rocket arm. He's much better throwing out to 25 yards Maybe 30 but really deep passes from him tend to hang up too long. Just stay within your skill set.

Purdy had the most completions of passes over 30 yards last year.

They'll be better than their replacements

What I am saying is that YOU are claiming a permanent drop off in Purdy's production because we wont have prime Trent or CMC anymore, and that is ridiculous because even if/when those two are gone, they will be replaced with actual players (which he didnt have this year).

Woah slow down that does not fit the narrative being pushed about Brock. This can't be right.

YAY! Brock just informed the media that he is willing to give the 49'ers a huge discount to get this done quickly. Everybody wins that way🎊
he said he would even play for free

They just confirmed he'll pay us to play and give more free toyotas.

speak for yourself. i ask you don't speak for me i can do that. these are falsehoods. i like jimmy but his day here is done and that's a good thing it ran its course. sam ran his course here also. we should have played him or given him some games to see what that looked like would be my take on him. he had a good year this year. he won't return to SF.

now i remember you telling me for years, what a mistake it was to pay a mid QB. well let's see how you change your tune on this one. or do you still agree with your former self?

If we get the Brock from the last month or so it will be absolutely. The guy from 23 however is legit. As stated above that guy you say has no arm led the league in 30 yard throws. Unlike Jimmy he has shown he can throw the ball anywhere on the field. We need him going forward.

I certainly won't pretend it's a fantastic signing if Brock of the last month is the guy we get in perpetuity no matter how many wins the rest of the team carries him to.

i certainly won't defend him if he ever runs out the back of his endzone.

Yea that was one of the 3-4 teams with two better wide receivers. As I mentioned to you before however, we also had HoF'ers at the TE and RB position. It's a better overall group than what the Dolphins had.

I do agree with you that Brock is better than Tua under pressure, for a variety of reasons including his mobility. What stat in the group we were focused on would show that?

IKR

He also had the most passes thst traveled over 40 yards in the air and he led the NFL in AYA.
Now all the "he's not worth it" idiots will think they was right because he's offering a discount.

Did I miss the discount part or is it no drama?

Brock is settling for 59 instead of the 60m a year avg
Brock is an average QB we like it or not.

-In 2023 he was surrounded by an All-Pro offense firing at all cylinders and a brilliant play-calling and he took advantage of all that like any average QB would do. Sam Darnold this season and Jared Goff the last 2 years come to mind.

-In 2024 he wasn't surrounded by an All-Pro offense and the play-calling was less than stellar and the results were trash because he isn't good enough to overcome those hurdles because he is not a top 5 or even a top 10 QB.

Brock can't play in the rain, he missed a ton of reads and he has had 3 injuries in his already below average arm.

Harsh reality is that 20 or 25 starting QB's would have done what Brock did in 2023 and I'd like to know how many teams would pay Brock top money right now.

Heck the offense got +400 total yards with freaking Josh Dobbs and a bunch of backups!!!!!

I know that Brock is gonna get paid a lot because that's what teams do when they have an average QB and there's nothing I can do about it.

This is a bad take.

He was top 10 with all the injuries this year.
