They're both good at throwing interceptions to the KC chiefs.

Very Salty.
The 49ers rolled up 436 of total offense with Klay Kubiak calling plays. Coach Kyle Shanahan told NBC Sports Bay Area he turned the duties over to offensive assistant Kubiak. Shanahan called plays in every regular-season game he's coached since 2008, his first year as Texans' OC.
Kyle Shannahan would be smart to delegate play calling duties next year tbh, he's got his fingers in so much of the game planning on both sides I suspect, offense could definitely use a different perspective between stretches during the season.

True, but they're both good at throwing it to them.

Jimmy freaking Garoppolo.
Which has far more to do with the defenses each has played with than any other factor.

We could bring back Jimmy Garoppolo at a reduced price.

Cool he does that when the season is over. Why couldn't he do that against the Rams with the season on the line?

We don't don't have the players to overcome mistakes like that

Example. QBs can have a lot of yards even by throwing short pases. We saw that with JG.and others have done the same. They can throw INTs even when they are right on target and the receiver doesn't handle the pass. They can take sacks because of bad O line play or because they aren't seeing the field well.
My point is stats don't mean a whole lot. Using terms like elite or franchise are fine except they don't really have anty tdefined definition. What one guy calls elite another person might call average. Neither is right or wrong. Just an opinion. The true elites usually have no arguments. Montana. Marino. Mahomes. Brady. These guys were elite and nobody would argue. They won under all types of conditions and with or without great talent.
Aren't you a 49ers fan? Are you a fan of the 80s and 90s 49ers?
How is it that 49ers fans talk about short throws and run after the catch to knock quarterbacks?
There are tons of arguments against the Queefs' quarterback. His numbers have been terrible in 2023 and 2024 despite playing for the best offensive mind in football. He ranked 33rd in air yards per completion this season. People mistakenly think that because he makes the easiest throws look more difficult with his horrible mechanics and showboat throws, that somehow makes him better. It doesn't.
He's been hitting the ocean from a rowboat, just like Alex Smith did in Kansas City. He's not great. Nobody would be talking about him had he been drafted by literally any other team in football.
Quarterbacks aren't supposed to stand out. It's supposed to be a mental position. They're supposed to be technically sound. You want your quarterback to be Tom Brady or Troy Aikman, not Russell Wilson.
While the less informed fans think that Stat Paddy running around like a retard and throwing underhand tosses to wide open guys he could have hit earlier on the play had he just set his feet and threw it normally like every other QB who isn't a moron makes him amazing, he's being carried by the top defense in football and the 2nd best kicker in football.
Dan Marino had seasons of 6-10, 8-8, 8-8, 8-8 playing for the winningest coach in the league. He had 2 elite receivers - Duper, who was an elite deep receiver, and Clayton, who was elite after the catch - and a HOF center in Dwight Stephenson during his best seasons. He never won without great talent.

You're not controlling Brock if he has another elite season and he wants out, whether they tag him or not. He could actually just tell the 49ers to f**k off and they'd be fielding offers for multiple 1st round picks while he sits out.

They did what they were supposed to do in the system, and they took mechanics and reading coverages seriously.
