I could be misreading your post....but what I am taking from you is something akin to Brock telling the 49ers "I don't want any drama from you, we need this done early, so there is no mini camp disruption no time missed."
Having listened to the entire interview....I am 200% sure he did not mean anything like that
Could I be wrong? Sure...but I highly doubt it.
In my opinion Brock went way out of his way to make sure a few things were known.
1. He is a 49er and whatever it takes, he is going to remain a 49er if it is with-in his power.
2. His primary focus is improving as a QB and a team. He wanted to push money to the back burner, does not want to talk about it...this is about football.
3. He either has "no idea" how new contracts work, or wants to end the questioning about new contracts with the I have never done this before answer. That gave him cover for number 4.
4. He did not say he would not holdout.
5. He did say he would be the professional. I took that to mean if he DID holdout, it would look nothing like BA or TW or Deebo. I expect we would get radio silence from his side, and this would not play out with competing sound bites being lobed back and forth.
I am with NY on this one....I don't think we see a holdout over fake "ego" money. You know the whole "I gotta get 30m a year!!" but when you read the fine print it was always 20m a year when the final year was voided...but somebody had to get their name in the paper as one of the highest paid guys.... I dont think we see any of that.
Heck I don't think we see a holdout at all...but if there is one...it's going to be something fundamental, and I would speculate having to do with injury protection incase his arm does not last out his career.
