in one breath you complain about Brock not playing well because of injuries and everything else being bad around him, then you s**t on his #1 receiver last yr 🤨

Wasn't Aiyuk at or near the top of the wide receiver separation statistics at least through stretches of this season?

Yup he was….had some drops (which wasn't something he dealt with prior) and wasn't getting targeted so he blows all of a sudden.

He was also dropping balls and letting the ball get into his body which allowed the defender to break up the pass. But that doesn't fit the Purdy sucks narrative now does it.

Lol. Step in off that ledge. I don't think Purdy sucks at all, and I don't think NY does either (though he can answer for himself). As I've mentioned, I'm not sure what he is and given his regression this season ideally I'd like to see another year before committing to him. I also don't expect that will happen and we will sign him this offseason. Hopefully we'll have early outs if it goes sideways.

Since you jumped in this conversation I'll let you know that I referenced Aiyuk's separation numbers because Woo seems to put a lot of weight in statistics (like many others do) but doesn't seem to reference ones that might point in the opposite direction of his opinion.

Aiyuk was separating, I agree with that. Yet still ineffective, dropping balls, and using his body instead of his hands. Missing all of camp had a huge effect on him.

Deebo played terrible basically all season.

CMC was still cooked from last season.

First round pick Pearsall got shot and missed significant time.

Trent Williams missed most of the season, and even when he played, was average.

Jordan Mason missed significant time.

Niners had literally the worst center in the league.

Yet you and others just "can't figure out" why Purdy's numbers regressed this season.

I'm not talking about his numbers. I'm talking about his individual play. Stepping back in decision making, accuracy… seemingly not seeing the field as well. Additional concerns about his capability to adjust now that defenses have had more time to game plan for him and our system with him running it.
No I think Purdy needs to be given time next year with all the pieces working, but we don't need to pay him $60 million this year.

Why not - in a year, $60M will be a bargain.

When Feliciano came in, the line started looking decent and moved up your buddies tier list of OLs. spent all year watching the rise.

this year everyone fell off the cliff... Puni didn't get the memo

Who's my buddy? Right side was better this yr, left side was worse and Brendel was dog s**t both yrs

Not great either yr

But much worse this year. It's OK To admit that. We were much worse run blocking. Brock Purdy was running for his life due to poor pass protection and no Trent Williams for a good portion of the year not to mention he was not himself after the hold out. Much worse this year.

If I was Purdy I would sit until they find $65 million or a better QB

Not smart imo. Dak is under the microscope every mistake he makes because he gets 60 mill. Heavy pressure to live up to being highest paid, and he will never live up to it. Tough to succeed with that responsibility.
Purdy is a smart kid, he'll take a fair deal I think. Probably in the 50-55 mill range, right around Tua/Hurts/ Lawrence/Goff.

Bargain? If it is they'll be charging $500 for game tickets in the end zone. Seriously ths can't continue. I was listening to the red zone on Sunday and everytime some guy would make a catch or carry the ball they would tell us hiw he just earned $500,000 or $1 mil bonus . Geno Smith earned $4.5 mil in bonuses fir achieving very modest goals. Do they really need to keep telling us that these guys make a lot of money?
