Do the other 2 QBs you listed not have career playoff stats too?

I was reading some article criticizing Purdy implying he should have been benched. I thought to myself, idiots will write anything these days.
Then I realized the author was Grant Cohn.

That's why I want a Mahomes type contract for Purdy. Give him 60m on a 10 year contract. In 3 years it won't be a top 10 contract.

Over 10 years? Hell yes.
In 3 years it'll barely be a top 10 contract. In 5-6 years it'll be a bottom 10 contract.

We'll see. I think the league will catch on to the stupidity that is QB contracts and just paying guys the ridiculous team killing numbers "because so and so got this"
Hard pass for me

What made Brock Purdy's #1 QBR season so special was that he did it behind an O-line that scored below average across pass protection metrics. Imagine if the 49ers had Philadelphia's O-line in front of him pic.twitter.com/m80yP8DT7z

How much cap space a year, for several years in the future, does he merit right now, though? That is what needs to be figured out.
All the leverage is on the 49ers side. The potential for other teams breaking down the door for Purdy could be a big, big factor -- IF he was due for free agency. But he's not. So the panic button can be put away. We aren't a charity either (for those saying he's earned the right to handicap our team's future due to unfavorable CBA rules he's had to deal with). We aren't doing this "football thing" to make up for the NFL's wrongs.
And as fans with regards to these potential deals,...our concern should really be cap hit money,...cause this is the main number that affects other deals that are to be made for years.

Me? It makes ZERO sense to compare the game stats of 1 player directly to the career stats of another,...lol.
Direct it to the guy that had the gaffe as a correction. No interest in what the numbers are without any point made.

Yeah, this season Brock had minimal help essentially across the board.
- run game was super inconsistent and didn't have a consistent pass catching threat. That makes things way more difficult and predictable
- pass pro was average on its best days but Brendel was the worst center in pro football. Mckivitz is super average on his best days
- hold outs didn't do the team any favors. Trent was rusty and Aiyuk was super rusty, he sucked the first month of the season.
- injuries mounted up pretty bad this year, again.
Brock needs more help than just Jennings and Kittle every game, especially when they're injured. This isn't even factoring in the players getting shot or their children passing away (horrific thing to happen).
just a s**t show of a season from start to finish. We won one more game than Carolina… just pathetic

I posted those also, I left out the passer ratings.

I'm sure Parag and Jed can figure those numbers out, better than you or me.
