If you can watch Darnold play like donkey balls and still want him as your QB then you are a special kind of stupid. Brock was facing this kind of pressure more often than not this season.

Can't wait to see the S show next season will be when 55-60 million dollar Brock is mid level or worse. Think this seasons Brock talk was bad?

Good thing he'll probably be making along the lines of $10-12 million next year, and maybe $22 million the season after, it'll be three or four seasons down the road before the really big money kicks in, at which point his contract will be middle of the road.

I mean, he's probably right. Just because he signs an extension doesn't mean all the money kicks in automatically. It took Mahomes like three seasons before the big money came in, same with a lot of these QB deals.

I edited before you replied. Once his extension kicks in, he will be making more than that.

I couldn't understand it in mid season when ppl were clamoring for Darnold over Brock .. I just chilled and kept quiet I didn't want to get drawn into that foolish debate nor will I ..I understand Brock didn't have the greatest of seasons but none of the niners did and there was a lot of blame to go around everywhere if that's what you're into ,, but Darnold??? At what point and where did he even become a #1 QB .. dude never keeps any confidence once something goes bad for him he has no rebound,, Brock didn't play a game this weekend and came out better then any NFC team I've seen this weekend .. I'm no great Brock Purdy fan , he's gotta prove himself game in game out , I for one , believe he is worth the investment , with the right pieces around him , smarter coaching and smart play coming from him can restore the winning tradition to this franchise from season to season… better then sitting here now watching these teams that I don't care about and I know we could beat…
