Just read article that said 49'ers Insiders are saying 49'ers in no rush to give Brock a deal due to his inconsistent play.

I mean Derrick Carr has been top 5 in passing before.

reality in 2017 / 2019 jimmy was doing pretty darn good. good enough apparently that we didn't feel we needed tom brady. i think what wrote jimmy a ticket out of town is he kept stacking injuries. can't have QB1 injured season after season. it's not a tenable situation for the guy holding the play sheet. he needs QB1 on the field.
So good we couldn't trust him to throw the ball at the most important times.
As NY said Brock is better at Jimmy at everything.

What difference does it make of aiyuk or Pearsall was the open person? Brock missed many gimme plays. I agree we wouldn't be #1 seed this year due to injuries, but we should have been in the playoffs. The way we would've gotten into the playoffs is if purdy did his job in those instances.
And contrary to some narratives, it wasn't because our injuries caused players to not be open on said drives

Then what the f**k are you defending man? I've said Brock is good not elite. Yet here you are arguing with me. What are you arguing about then. Tell me do you think he's an elite level QB in the league right now?
I know what I've seen with your posts and I'll just leave it at that. He isn't elite, but he's a good young qb that has already had a top 5 season. Hes done some good stuff on 900k, id love to see him get rewarded and continue to grow. I don't get the wrestling match with giving him a nice extension along with the other young qbs. He deserves it more than most of them

This year would suggest he can't.
This year would suggest Justin Herbert and CJ Stroud can't either.
Literally 3 guys can.

They didn't trade for him. They signed him as a free agent. His only concern was he just suffered a shoulder injury. He was already established as a very good QB.
in a twist of irony (for this conversation) the Chargers chose the big 1st rounder over him!
Sorry you are correct. But many thought the saints made a mistake. And they sure as hell didn't. I always loved Brees. Guy was a baller.
yes they did! Rivers right? (Actually I believe they took Eli) they had two SB winning QB's and let them both go lol

Technically true, but Eli beat Brady twice.

Eli refused to play for them prior to being selected. They drafted him anyway and traded him to the Giants. Chargers ended up with Rivers and a few other picks (one of them was Shawne Merriman).

You're gaslighting for no reason. So yeah leave it at that. It's f**king nonsense.
I agree with most of the other stuff you said AND I've said all of it to you a bunch of times

That defense beat Brady. If mario manningham or David Tyree don't make ridiculous catches he's not a SB winning QB

To be fair, that Manningham catch was also an insane throw. He played well that game. Their defense was gnarly though, as you mentioned. No chance they win either year without them going on an absolute heater.
