Some people just philosophically disagree on how to handle the position, especially when you don't have a clear cut answer.
The market is what it is.
How would you handle the position. I would try to get him for a Love or Herbert type deal (accounting for market inflation) and structure it in a friendly way like Love's deal.

Wood for one, I mean CharlieSheen been arguing about it for days…
Nah, I said he put up elite numbers in 2023.
He did.

Saying Brock could have made more money if he would have scored more than 6 points in the do or die game at home against the Rams. His poor play in that game is what is going to cost him the big bucks.

I said he had a great yr. I'm saying he shouldn't be paid what guys like Burrow/allen/dak/herbert and Mahomes make. You clearly think he should be. You've gone so far to point out a playoff game from Herbert as to why. Which I find silly
Do you think Brock might be a little more dependent on the roster around him than some of the other highly paid QBs? I do an I think his contract should reflect that
See once you start throwing Dak and Herbert in his agent can make a legit case. Then there's all the other guys like Love and Trevor too. Yea he should get paid in that range

Two years ago today, Brock Purdy officially arrived with a monster game against the Seahawks in the Wild Card round. Purdy threw for 332 and three touchdowns, and added another touchdown on the ground. pic.twitter.com/tIDNd0qwYf

You see Woo claim he said he put up elite numbers in 2023, which is a revision on what he actually has said many times.
Of course the belief is he was elite because he put up elite numbers. Numbers which are heavily affected by teammate performance, where Brock had it better than any QB in the league until this season.
For someone who likes to interpret peoples posts, with language that actually isn't there, why would you miss this obvious one, lol?

Maybe just one day Brock could possibly be that. Who knows, I sure f**king hope so. I'm also not gonna hold my breath that he's just this amazing outlier.
he's gonna get paid and he's gonna be the man here. There's things to like, I just hope SF protects themselves in this contract and allows them to get out of it IF he's not "Drew Brees". That thought process shouldn't be seen as some ridiculous thing imo
Brees threw for 3500 yards with 24 TD and 15 INT in his 5th year in the NFL.

It's semantics. Saying one season was elite and one wasn't still is not "people going around saying he's elite"

His 3rd year starting. The season before that he was an all pro and OPOY finalist.
NY didn't even reference numbers, he talked his actual abilities. Why do you do this? Lol

He didn't say that though. That's more like what you said. Read his posts.

Purdy will probably get way more than $50M a year. If he somehow agrees to $50M a year, you instantly say yes and get him to sign for as many years of that as possible.
A 10-year $500M deal would blow up the headlines but that's an insanely good deal for the 49ers. He'll probably get 5 years $300M.
