In this market I'm all for giving Brock a four year $200M deal with an out after three years if things go south. Anything we're paying him above that needs to be heavily incentivized. He's a pro bowl level QB on his best years and we need him in this system so we have to pay him after having gotten a bargain the last three years

This year has shown he can't carry a team in the same manner as Mahomes Josh Allen or LMJ but I think he's as good as Hurts and possibly Dak so Brock shouldn't be lowballed. He should be paid and paid early this offseason so he can get to work getting us back to the division crown

I was more getting at the point that "people saying Brock is elite" is just a straw man to start ripping him

But yea he'll get paid what he's worth. Doesn't that spotrac algorithm put him around 59 mil?

Of course the belief is he was elite because he put up elite numbers. Numbers which are heavily affected by teammate performance, where Brock had it better than any QB in the league until this season.

do it before sam darnold's contract is the HIGHEST PAID QB EVER NFL HISTORY by the next baalke GM and then we have to overpay brock week 2 of the nfl regular season

and then we lose every game and give purdy the excuse he didn't have an offseason camp

This. Arguably, every starting QB in the NFL is elite. Or are we going to talk about the top 3-5 current players? Or should we narrow it down the Greats..like present and obviously future HOFers?
