Three Superbowls huh?

It think it was three.

.

Oh, s**t he got four. I'm thinking we only have 4, we got five. Young got us the other one.

Bill Walsh retired after the 3rd Superbowl.

God rest his soul. Got to be looking down and shaking his head.

Yes, he is absolutely shaking his head at fans who just learned today that we have 5 rings.

Closet hater just as I suspected.

If Brock had multiple seasons of play like he did in 2023 then yeah you'd have a point. He doesn't but those guys all do.

thay last sentence is clearly a troll comment that I don't need to talk about. Stop being dumb with that stuff

First off I was messing with you NY C'mon man.

But Brock is on par, those other two especially Dak, the dude can't even win a playoff game. Sure it's because the 49ers has his number but, whenever he plays the 9ers he makes multiple mistakes. To say Brock shouldn't make Dak money is absurd or even Joe Burrow money.

We cannot sit here and say Brock doesn't have enough seasons. You don't expect Shanahan and the front office to say hey he doesn't have enough seasons so lets not pay him that much. Whether you like it or not its the market and it will only go up.

Yeah, I know - I need another cup of coffee.

I mean if SF says go find that Dak contract and not one team shows up then what?

If no one is willing to give you that kind of cash…you don't get that cash lol

Maybe AB can chime in, but I was always under the impression that players who are under contract are prohibited from negotiating with other teams. Please correct me if I am wrong, but based on my understanding of NFL contracts, you are suggesting Brock do something that isnt allowed. Therefore, its an unrealistic/stupid position to take. Brock isnt a free agent.

Neither was BA (a FA) and they did just that this past off season. The Ravens did it with Lamar as well. SF did it with Bucker all the same…told his agent to go find someone that would trade for you just to give you that type of cash you want.

there isn't a team in the NFL that would pay Brock that Dak cash and we all know that…let alone give up anything substantial to sign him to a deal. So WTF should SF do it?

I think Brock and his agent need to realize this and understand his best spot is here in SF. Take a good, not outrageous deal and surround yourself a ton of talent. This team is getting older not younger. They need to draft very well going forward but they also need to bring in proven guys to help this team. That cost $$ and when a QB is taking up 15-20% of your cap space in two yrs that makes s**t hairy.

I dont use QB wins as a stat, as I dont believe in it. Always have to judge individual talent, not team success.

With that being said, Burrow > Purdy > Dak IMO.

yeah it's just a bad take.. told NY a while back as he keeps trying to use this as something.

No one was offering Dak money.. for Dak to get that money he ended up signing for

I guess part of telling an agent to look for a trade also has to do with them getting extended so good point.

As far as getting Dak cash, no, we dont "all know that." None of us, including you, know that. You dont know what teams would or would not give him.

Okay good lol I can't handle those p***y troll comments about hating someone. Weak ass debate deflecting s**t. Enough with that 😉

winning playoffs games comes down to more than just the QB. It's one game. Nick foles won a SB no one thinks he should get paid like Mahomes lol. JG won 4 playoff games and we all know it wasn't because of just him.

Dak has multiple seasons of putting up numbers that Brock did once. Same with Joe and Herbert. Dallas is also stupid for paying Dak that much. Why does SF have to follow suit?

Like I keep saying let the market dictate it then. What team is gonna pay him that much money? Not a god damn one that's who. Go talk to anyone outside of this fan forum and you will get it. We can all like Brock and want to see him get paid, let's keep s**t in perspective though.

Realistically what team would?

The ravens did it with Lamar. We've done it multiple times. BA this off season and buck.

reports were LV was lining up to pay Dak if he wasn't gonna get signed.

Ya some fans are ok with going into the abyss without knowing when they'll make it out. Owners are not

It's all talk anyways. He has no clue what he would get on the open market. Just like he had no clue whether Brock could make it back week 1 from his elbow injury. He's just going to take the negative side on Brock without really knowing what he's talking about

I mean our owner and FO have done it twice (that we know of). I'm not saying it will happen or Brock isn't gonna get a fluffed up contract either.

Give me a realistic team that would fork over $260M for Brock this off season? You can't go on about the market setting this price and then say we can't let the market dictate his worth.

no I'm being objective about this topic. It's something you've had a hard time grasping for a while now…if Brock balled out this yr no one would be having this conversation.

It's a dumb question. We'd have to be in the buildings to know who'd be interested

and you know he's not going to hit the market. You know you won't have to answer for being wrong again. Get out of here with this s**t

I don't think it's negative to guess Brock wouldn't get a top tier deal in the market. You're right though, we don't know. That works both ways when we talk about his market value… we don't know what it actually is. We know what similarly comped players were paid by their teams (in most cases).
