By refusing to play. They're not going to eat a bunch of cap room for a player who doesn't want to be there when teams are offering big picks.

The Ravens did exactly that, and it wasn't screwing over the player. The player had unreasonable contract demands.

Trading him would mean a rebuild and no FQB.
Paying him now will save the team money and allow them to plan around the
QB.

Then use him as a gadget player and punt returner when Brock doesn't hold out

I mean if he holdouts he will lose an accrued season and wont be a FA. Then the following yr they could tag him… Toyota commercials only pay so much
it's super unlikely he doesn't come off like that but agents do
