QB Brock Purdy Thread

No, he could sign the tag and then hold out and demand a trade. I don't think Brock would take kindly to being told he has to play on his current deal.

He would still lose an accrued season and not be eligible to be free agent. He would lose game day checks on top of it.

who cares if he doesn't like playing out his rookie deal? He's under contract and if he's asking to be the highest paid player in football that's an option.

acting like he holds all this leverage is factually untrue, especially coming off a poor season and with the idea that not many team would be interested in making him the highest paid player in football.

again this is all hypothetical, I don't think he's gonna ask to be the highest paid player in football. The Love deal should be where it goes imo

less than the love deal. we have to weight the round 1 vs round 7. we also have to weight brock coming off a poor year. love was coming off a strong year.

overall i am seeing it as you are seeing it, also
this is just my opinion, i could be wrong

He doesn't need to be eligible to be a free agent. He has all the leverage in that situation. The team would have to commit a s**tload of cap room to a guy who refuses to play.

Also, who cares if he wants to be the highest paid player in football? What difference does that make?

Huh? I've been saying constantly he had a poor season. That's why I know he's seriously injured.

Neither of those things apply to Brock. Hence, the argument that somebody could have done better is delusional, and therefore it's ridiculous to pretend he wasn't the best QB in football last year.

Who was better than him? Before the Ravens game, Stat Paddy Mahomo was further behind Brock in yards per attempt than Ryan Leaf was behind Steve Young in 1998.

I said he put up elite numbers and played elite in 2023 and you got worked up over it.

They are gonna sign him. The deal will be on Lynch and Paraag.

we really need Strwy in here asap
Brock needs All Pro players around him to succeed.

Brother, try reading the posts. I said FootballNovice believed he was the best QB in the NFL in 23 and he has confirmed that since I said it:

Speak for yourself, not others.

No one knows what this means.

OK, my bad. So, yiu are super upset because someone ranked him 1st in 2023 instead of 2nd or 3rd?

They're not voting based on how they played in 2023. Maybe try learning some reading comprehension.

the 2021 class is FA

you bring in fields
you bring in mac
you bring in wilson
you bring in trey

then we see who is least worst

They all have a better arm than Brock, so that should be an automatic upgrade. Right?

i have never been of the arm strength variety, but let me tell you, this last season every ball was a lollipop. it was frustrating. so brock is converting me into an arm strength guy. watch bo nix i mean he can put that ball into orbit. he's very toolsy. with shanny, they want to come up on the line, ok shoot it over the top. but you need the tools for the job.

these are just my opinions, i could be wrong

Based on your posts, it sounds like you've already been converted. There's plenty of toolsy guys to choose from above. Maybe Kyle can make one of them his very own Bo Nix like Sean Peyton.

I thought Brock had enough zip in 2023 to make all the necessary throws. This year he started off pretty good as well but something happened along the way and the throws just weren't the same. Idk
