I blame the schools, lol.

NY is.. and that's what i'm myth busting it

Except NY suggests it if and only if Brock wants a top tier deal, ie there's an impasse in negotiations.

He has flat out stated if Brock were to take Love like deal, he'd support it.

Not a single person has suggested to just let him test the market outright. The first thing any team would do is offer a contract favorable to the team. This goes without saying, or at least should*

are you ok with Brock at 55?
Hey Expert, go check out the post about Mahomes and Andy Reid in the Shanahan thread. Humor me, lol.

Stop it.

We made Jimmy G the highest paid QB and did fine. And I don't want to hear how different the roster was or how the cap situation was different.

The rules are simple - draft well and make smart low money free agent signings and you get to keep putting a good team out there with Purdy.

Draft poorly and you're going to struggle regardless of who your QB is.

Everyone expected the Chiefs to crumble once Mahomes big money kicked in. How's that going? They rebuild their whole OL in one offseason. They turned their defense from mediocre to dominant in a couple of seasons.

This regime is tied with the Ravens for most first team all pros selected since 2017. People can try to pretend Adam Peters was critical in those decisions and maybe he was in some cases but all I know is we had what looks to be a hell of a draft without Adam here and if we make a quality hire on DC should continue to draft well overall.

Brock's deal is not going to handicap us. The only thing that would do that is poor drafting.

you are doing pretzel logic. firstly, it was one of the best teams cuz of brady. didn't he put up 50 TDs? win MVP?

also he brought that city 6 rings. they were team of the decade for back to back decades. there was no question of oh he didn't win on the rook deal, can he win making the big bucks? that was never a tom brady conversation.

the fact is Purdy was worse this year than last year.

Without an All-Star backing group, Purdy struggled, and we didn't even make the play offs.

Is that the future, the destiny that you want for this franchise?

There were arguably 3 players this season on this team who improved on their play or played the same from last season.

One of them was Colton McKivitz…

You expecting Brock to work miracles?

meh

that's right; great Quarterbacks work miracles.

It's not a question for me either. He doesn't get injured he wins his first year. CMC doesn't fumble, or Kyle knows the OT rules and he wins back to back. It didn't happen, but that's just football. I don't question whether he could though

I also think he could on that team. Good chance we don't have it again. He may never play as well as he* did either. Things change fast.

Awesome
Things change fast and then things go slowly as well.
Imagine if Jake Moody were Toms kicker lol. I have a feeling he doesn't have all those rings on his rookie deal lmao
