He regressed last year and finished last. There needs to be more testing.

Burrow's arm would make me feel better. I don't need Brock to be 6'4, though that is a nice advantage.

The point about the arm is a nuanced position. Burrow has an average, maybe above average arm… nothing special. I'm not a person who thinks you need special arm talent to be a top tier QB, and I argued that point relentlessly in favor of Brock before 2023. My point then was once you were past a minimum level of arm strength, the rest was a luxury. I also believed Purdy was right near that minimum, and now that I've seen two years I question whether he's not below the minimum. It's no issue if he's facing zones, making good reads, and throwing with elite anticipation into areas of the field. He's shown he can do that.

I honestly don't know if you like Purdy or not lol. I don't think I've seen this from you, what would you offer him right now, maximum, for an extension?
If Titans offered 1st pick for Purdy, would you guys do it?

I've said multiple times I'm just not sure what he is. I'm fully open to being shown that my concerns are unwarranted and like I said before, it was a mess around him this past season.

I don't care what the number is as much as I care about outs. I definitely want to see another year of him at QB whether it's a high contract, mid contract, we hardball his ass into playing the last year of his deal… whatever it may be.

No chance in hell.

We have a quality QB. Stop thinking the grass is greener. Going back to searching for a QB is not a good thing.

The grass is greener where you water it.

Same can be said, stop thinking the grass isn't greener. #11 and #1 pick is very interesting. This is all not going to happen obviously because Titans wouldn't offer #1 for Purdy.

No they aren't, cap-wise. Please stop with these old wives tales and maybe some middle ground can be found. Here, again, are the top QB Cap hits for next year:

  1. Dak Prescott (DAL) - $89.9 million
  2. Deshaun Watson (CLE) - $72.9 million
  3. Patrick Mahomes (KC) - $66.3 million
  4. Derek Carr (NO) - $51.5 million
  5. Matthew Stafford (LAR) - $49.7 million
  6. Lamar Jackson (BAL) - $43.5 million
  7. Jalen Hurts (PHI) - $42.0 million
  8. Aaron Rodgers (NYJ) - $37.5 million
  9. Trevor Lawrence (JAX) - $37.5 million
  10. Joe Burrow (CIN) - $35.3 million

I'm seeing 4 @ over $50M next year,...nowhere close to 10.

Wasn't referring to actual cap hits. Good try though, I can tell you put in some effort

So you are talking about "phantom" money these guys are unlikely to ever see?

The concern here is the money that actually affects paying other players and staying under the cap. Why are you arguing something you do not understand?

It's based on those player comps. Almost all of whom didn't test the market (at least publicly).

Player comps IS the market. Like it or not, that is the reality.

No. Player comps is a negotiation tactic.

The market is what others are willing to pay.

I guess that would be the open market, but that's not the market

More usage of terms u do not understand.

I was just talking about QBs that have signed 50+ mil per year contracts. There's about 10 so I guess I do know what I'm talking about

I think you're the one that doesn't understand. You guys are literally making up what the market is. The market is set by the QBs and their contracts

You wouldn't pay him back?

No. You restructure (which cant happen) or you negotiate new contracts for future earnings.

When market rates for houses double within a year of buying, no one goes back to the previous seller and pays them back.

But maybe you do business with them again?
