Hey you guys see it looks like the Commanders drafted a good qb? THAT is why Brock can't get paid lol

Yeah the Commanders drafted a great QB so we should get rid of our QB and keep drafting QB's until we get one like the Commanders.

Said after ONE season by Daniels by people who want Purdy to play out his 4th year of a s**tty contract "to see more before they decide."

Daniels joins a long list of QBs that played well in their rookie season. Some continued to play well but many never got much better. Some got worse.

It takes more than one year to pronounce any player's greatness. QBs more than any position. It's unfortunate that when the Niners had the opportunity to move up and draft a QB it turned out to be a bad year. I know they aren't looking to draft a QB this year but if they were the situation is similar to when they drafted Lance. Not a good year for QBs. When your team is bad they have to be lucky when it comes to the draft.

This dude never liked Brock to begin with.
I'm watching these playoff games in bad weather...and although it's understandable QBs usually struggle in them, having a strong arm still gets you to move the ball at times. Stafford missed some passes but he still got enough to get them in the redzone twice.

With Purdy, man I believe in him nice weather games, but this season when the conditions were not ideal (not even close to these snow games).. it looked like we had no chance with Brock back there.

So what do you do? You go all in paying Brock... and sure you make the playoffs... but we don't play in dome. Playoff games are during Winter time, where there is a chance of rain or snow...or a mix.

Imo that's where the coach has to be able to come through for his team, his QB... to somehow put them in the best position, taking into consideration their limitations. But with Kyle, that just doesn't seem like the case.

Purdy has been coached to be too conservative in the red zone.

Our red zone offense is awful. Just awful, Murray. There are only two teams with a lower red zone touchdown conversion rate this season: Miami and New England. That's not company you expect to be in with Purdy, Juice, Mason, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, Trent, and Puni on the offensive side. Removing CMC from that lineup shouldn't be the difference between #1 and #30.
A lot went wrong in the RZ this year. Obviously they'll work hard to fix it, but I almost feel like they could just improve by accident and law of percentages next year.
But Purdy has to be more aggressive and less conservative in his passing as well.

Good. Let them all continue doubting him; he hears the noise and adds fuel to his already burning fire
Purdy's red zone work needs to improve to get to an elite status.

he's not quite the dual threat that a lot of these QBs getting deep into the playoffs are. some guys are cheat codes in short yardage. purdy is not

I mean Brock is good but the only QB I'd take Brock over on that list is Hurts
if anything these playoffs are showing you need a real dual threat i can do it all QB. you don't need scheme perfect all the time when you have a hurts, allen, daniels, mahomes, lamar, etc. now when you match a QB like that with a coach like reid you get what you get. we need shanny and a QB more dynamic to win rings. or brock and shanny to be a team that is good, but rings will be very elusive is my guess. prove me wrong.

Even with such a QB they are so rare that going after them is a huge risk (see: Lance, Trey). You also often need a great defense along with that HC/QB threat. The last 6 champs (Patriots, Chiefs, Bucs, Rams, Chiefs x2) also won huge games because of their defense.

Purdy was a more dynamic runner last year than Hurts has been at all this year. He's being carried right now.

We need to take a chance on Brock's cousin this draft.
