Dude is right , purdy is mid, he does not have a rocket arm, does not play well in bad weather games, needs a boat load of talent around him to look good , he more of a product of mccaffrey and I fear paying him a fortune

We need to bring back your boy Lance to take things to another level.

I'm thinking the same when I see all these talented QBs making plays in the playoffs. We neee one of those game breakers as well. Purdy is really good but he has not shown himself to be the game breaker we needed last season

He needed to be drafted by another team. Kyle was not going to develop him by giving him snaps and lost trust in him too quickly. He should have drafted a QB who had more seasoning and could have handled the playbook like Brock did out the gate.

I guess now you guys are gonna say that Brock is better than Lamar and Shanahan is better than Harbaugh because that's how it works around here

I hope the truth comes out about why they traded so much to move to #3 in that draft months before. I still don't believe Kyle was some how pressured into making that trade. He's the one who is in charge. What the hell did he want? Did he really want Mac Jones THAT bad?

Kyle Shanahan was the one who wanted Trey Lance. Something like, he told lynch to take a look at him while Shanahan was in Mexico. So I don't think he was pressured.

Yeah they grow on trees. Every team is drafting one every year.

Yeah the Commanders drafted a great QB so we should get rid of our QB and keep drafting QB's until we get one like the Commanders.

Said after ONE season by Daniels by people who want Purdy to play out his 4th year of a s**tty contract "to see more before they decide."

Daniels joins a long list of QBs that played well in their rookie season. Some continued to play well but many never got much better. Some got worse.

It takes more than one year to pronounce any player's greatness. QBs more than any position. It's unfortunate that when the Niners had the opportunity to move up and draft a QB it turned out to be a bad year. I know they aren't looking to draft a QB this year but if they were the situation is similar to when they drafted Lance. Not a good year for QBs. When your team is bad they have to be lucky when it comes to the draft.

Totally agree. Imagine we drafted first overall in 2004 vs 2005.

You are judging what is needed off of the playoffs in one season? Brock Purdy is more accomplished than any QB left standing instead of Patrick Mahommes. We didn't learn anything new. If you don't turn the ball over,you have a better chance of winning. If you take advantage of opportunities, you have a better chance if winning. The entire history of the NFL is our data to prove this.

he's not quite the dual threat that a lot of these QBs getting deep into the playoffs are. some guys are cheat codes in short yardage. purdy is not

And yet Purdy has about as more playoff wins than all the QBs that made the playoffs instead of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahommes. Changing perspective year to year based on playoffs is not it.

The draft. Everyone said the trey lance draft was the best QB draft of all time. 5 QBs in the top 12 was it? I'm not gonna provide sources so challenge me on that if you want to. I don't care. Everyone says this draft is one of the worst. But draft experts are right so many times. Many people thought Jayden Daniels would be a bust and looked past the Washington pick.

But yea, the draft is where you find one. I don't want to be hand-cuffed to Brock the next 3-5 years because of a contract. It's a bad idea, but I'm a Niners fan first. When we pay him I will cheer my a** off for him. But it's not a good idea!

Many people stated their concerns, but the weather thing and not having all the pieces really concern me. We will be dealing with weather and injuries every year. But I digress. We are going to pay him and make him the franchise QB. I'm praying I'm wrong

How soon we forget Brock keeping SF alive on scrambles and tough passes like the one to Juice in the playoffs just last year.

Was he the only reason for that and other playoff wins in 2022-2023? No. Was he a significant reason? Yes.

I haven't forgotten. I believe that was peak Brock. I also believe defenses have caught up. Now with CMC coming back, hopefully Trent Williams, Pearsall year two, Aiyuk healthy, Deebo, maybe another draft piece, etc he will regain that form. But again Josh Allens top receiver is Shakir and Jackson was Bateman in the playoffs. They make it work. I'm thinking if we get into the playoffs down a few pieces we will fizzle out with Brock. The contract concerns me
