Talk where?
It's good the 49'ers swirl names like Fields and Winston in front of Brock's face to make him nervous because he isn't going to make it on another team.

The fact that there's even an argument only points out that Brock isn't in that top tier. He's in a group that includes at least 8 or 10 other QBs that could probably perform about the same as him with the 49ers. After the top 5 or 6 guys I see about 10 that are all good enough in the right situation but aren't true franchise QBs. All could be replaced if necessary.

We've discussed Brock's pros and cons many times. He has all ther intangible stuff that isn't measured at the combine. He just doesn't have all the physical stuff. That's what keeps him out of the top tier for most people.

The fact that faithful6 thinks Jimmy is better than Brock means Brock can never be top tier? Are you serious?

I'm not talking about JG. I'm talking about NFL QBs and where they rank. I don't know where Purdy ranks in that 2nd tier but I don't feel he belongs in the top tier.

Believe me we know, but arguments about x qb is better than Brock are not an indication of anything. That's just confirmation bias

I don't know if anyone has shared this but its a good listen concerning Brock and money

Completely disagree. 2018 they didn't have multiple players making top 5 money at their positions. at that point they were flush with cap space, so they were able to front load his deal. They had young talent on cheap deals for the most part.

it's not even remotely the same situation. We got bloated expiring contract on "older" players. There's holes all over the place that just the draft can fix imo.

if you're rebuttal on why he should be the highest paid player in football is because they made Jimmy that (even though he said himself that was the wrong thing to do) I think that's a horrible take.

Dieter also stated that with the salary cap going up every year that in reality Brock percentage wise would count the same against the cap has Jimmy did when he was paid. Did you catch that part?

And that's not what I am saying he will get paid what the market says the QB position should get paid. And I think he is worth it and i think this team will continue to function fine. That's my opinion. I don't think the team will do a deal that is going to strap them and I think they do a deal that will satisfy Brock and his camp at the same time.

I haven't forgotten. I believe that was peak Brock. I also believe defenses have caught up. Now with CMC coming back, hopefully Trent Williams, Pearsall year two, Aiyuk healthy, Deebo, maybe another draft piece, etc he will regain that form. But again Josh Allens top receiver is Shakir and Jackson was Bateman in the playoffs. They make it work. I'm thinking if we get into the playoffs down a few pieces we will fizzle out with Brock. The contract concerns me

Jackson woukd be called a choker who can't win the big one if he was in the 49ers.

Jackson performed down the stretch. TE dropped the ball. No comparison.
Yall take eating Ws for granted.

And Purdy had his RG blow his assignment.

It's almost as if... now get this... it's a team sport

You like the idea of a thread that showers praise and shows gratitude post after post, page after page??

Can someone start a "49ers QB Appreciation Thread" so we can at least TRY to discuss relevant recent and upcoming events here?

I think he may be referring more to Jacksons playoff record?

No. I like reasonable and supported arguments in context. This thread is 99% Brock isn't good enough so f**k him.

Scott Conrad has speculated about both of them, outside of fans spitballing ideas. There's really nothing substantive to it, but it's out there.
