blown assignments by another guy doesnt mean you made plays to win,...lol.

I haven't forgotten. I believe that was peak Brock. I also believe defenses have caught up. Now with CMC coming back, hopefully Trent Williams, Pearsall year two, Aiyuk healthy, Deebo, maybe another draft piece, etc he will regain that form. But again Josh Allens top receiver is Shakir and Jackson was Bateman in the playoffs. They make it work. I'm thinking if we get into the playoffs down a few pieces we will fizzle out with Brock. The contract concerns me

Jackson woukd be called a choker who can't win the big one if he was in the 49ers.

Jackson performed down the stretch. TE dropped the ball. No comparison.

And Purdy had his RG blow his assignment.

I think he may be referring more to Jacksons playoff record?

My answer would be the same. It's a team sport. We all know QB W-L stats are kind of a stupid metric.

Random didn't care about the rest of the team in week 3 when Moody missed a kick to ice the game and Bell dropped the winner against the rams. But now it matters lol

Yes. I also saw the playoffs last year. Two comeback wins and providing the team the lead on his last two drives in the SB. Neither was perfect, but overall it was pretty damn good. Purdy performed better against the Chiefs defense than anyone not named Burrow or Allen in the last four years, and only one of those others won their game (we'll see what happens this Sunday).

Any fan of the 49ers wants Purdy to improve his weaknesses and do better in 2025 than in 2024. It's this idea that not being a HoF QB means we should throw him in the gutter and go on the eternal QB hunt again that I find absurd. Like, why would Shanahan and Lynch do that? It would almost certainly lead to another non-playoff season and their dismissal. There's no incentive for them to cast Purdy aside based on what QBs are even available.

"Jackson played great but his team let him down!"

"Purdy lost the game because he couldn't block a free rusher, flubbed a punt and missed a field goal, he needs to get it together!"

People need to pick a lane.

The reverse is also true. Purdy played great in 2023 when the 49ers were one of the healthiest teams. They were absolutley loaded with offensive talent. This year we saw what a difference it made not having CMC. Every QB is going to be better with all his weapons. Purdy is just a little more dependent than some otf the better QBs.

Sure but they all need good teams around them. Not a single one of the QB's that played this weekend was playing with crap surrounding them. They all had good OL's, solid to very good defenses, run games...etc.

So a random blogger pulled something out of his butt and you stated that it was something that came from the team?

Pretty convinced that at this point you're just here to troll the forum.
Many people on here are disturbed by my posts that I do in fact research because they break into their denial that Brock truly is just a mid tier average QB who will only succeed in this league if he has elite talent around him like McCaffrey. You take away that talent and you get a year like last one - last place.

No s**t, Sherlock. Next you'll tell me that water is wet.

Some can still find ways to win. The Chiefs didn't fall apart when they lost all their WRs. Mahomes just found ways to win. Sure it was often the defense but in the end he found ways to score. The Bills don't have the offensive talaent that the Niners do but the have a streong arm QB that can also run effectively so they can still win a lot of games. I doubt Brock could have taken either of those teams as far.

Mahomes who is currently playing for the AFCC and seems to make plays when it matters?

instead of deflecting, how about we answer the question? What can HE do as a player to improve. I know how you feel about everything else around him and use that as the only reason why he wasn't successful this yr…so you just think he had zero blame for his own play this yr? No accountability? He was perfect and everyone else failed him?

Your post is ignorant if you think just because Mahomes is in the championship game, he did it or had a lot to do with their success hahah. Please…..when it mattered? He didn't do much on offense (much like the last 2 years) anymore and you as well as everyone else knows it's their defense that is carrying them NOT Mahomes. So if anything, you're deflecting. You can't admit anything. People call your posts out when you're wrong. Why don't you admit that for to starters. The chiefs defense is the main reason they advanced not Patrick Mahomes.

I on the other hand can admit Purdy was partly at fault while you have trouble assigning blame to anything else like injuries, bad offensive play calls, and other factors.

Again, I will have to ask you for the hundredth time to stop putting words in my mouth. You seriously have problems. I never said that's the only reason Brock Purdy failed this year. You lied AGAIN. That is pathetic for you to suggest that. But it's standard for your arguments when you're wrong. I have plenty of times said that Brock didn't do as well this year as he should've. You never learn haha
