99% of these numbers arent going to speak for themselves,...no matter the chart you put them on. Too many variables that can't be accounted for to try and make an entire season of NFL QBing a couple variables put on a chart. They are great to use as context-providers....or to support an argument, however.

What did people think or see when they watched the actual games?

Why are you triggered by 2023 stats? I don't think stats from past seasons should be ignored.

It's not my opinion that making a QB less effective on throws over the middle can also negatively effect his efficiency down the field. It is a FACT that it can,...and I know you like facts. This is not even up for debate.

When they took your guy Jimmy's dump offs (his strength) away, his efficiency in other areas of the field went down, even if the yards went up.

You phrase your reply in an odd way so I asked. I do think disrupting the middle had an affect on him for sure. He held the ball longer. Not having two if his good receivers affected this as well.

The 2023 Deep Ball and Air Yard stats are what I was referring to. They show what he is capable of and contradict the narrative that he is a s**tty deep ball passer.

That doesn't mean he's a bad QB, he does other things well, but his arm is about the bare minimum you could have to be starter in the league

There is a difference in people acting like his arm is Chad Pennington post injury level and pretending it's Josh Allen level.

There is a clear middle ground between those and Brock's arm is not an issue within this offense...which is what we should care about.

Is his arm a problem at times? Sure. There's no question he doesn't have the arm of some of these elite guys but can anyone really bring up a time where Brock's arm hurt us in a giant way? Whether an underthrown ball that missed his target, big time pick where he tried to rifle the ball in there and there wasn't enough arm?

I've certainly seen that from Jimmy. I don't recall many times when Brock hurt us with his arm limitations. You can bring up some of the completions that he didn't get perfectly in front of the WRs so they could score but that's not as much arm strength as it is timing.

Sure it would be great if Brock could throw 50+ with a flick of his wrist. And if he could do that we wouldn't be able to draft him.

look at the track record, you slammed JG, who was mid tier and we won, you praised lance and even after shanny traded to dallas you said no one can know if he sucks, he's an 'unknown'. no dude, he sucks. that's why shanny traded him out. brock is mid tier he's not a bad QB. i just question the wisdom of paying him 3 to 4 hundred million. and his arm is not elite downfield. do we watch the games? do we watch the super bowl? mccaffrey got no traction. why was that? with elite deep ball brock, why was the MVP level RB not getting anything on the ground? certainly the D was backed up, fearing the brock deep ball, right?

Brock has played like a top 5 QB. Jimmy was never that. To continue to act like they are the same because Jimmy never had to make up for a bad D is ridiculous.

you still want jimmy that's the situation. you want to pay 55m or 60m to a guy who we all know is good or solid but not at the really top level of QB play.
