Lance apparently had a bigger arm too..what happened to him? Tebow...big, hot, sexy arm, look at him in those Jockeys too lol..threw flying turkeys sometimes and his processing, yikes, kinda in the Lance territory. Where is Tebow now? Writing another book? I could go down your list but I can tell ya Purdy can process better than a lot of them. Let's look at a few top qbs in your list..

Josh
Lamar
Mahomes
Stafford
Burrow
Russell

They all process well..they don't get terrified and see all kinds of spirits floating around. Poise, accuracy, reliable under pressure. They are trustworthy leaders in part because of these traits. Brock is in that same fold. I am excited about Daniels because he is also showing the same attributes. Early but looking good.

What's most important is what is in between the ears. Purdy is one of the best at processing, cool under pressure a good amount of the time, yes, he can throw deep balls too and no Poltergeist brain 👻

f**k that, Purdy is the man

I mean you'll looking at it from one angle. Who gives a f**k?? We should have against the chiefs when multiple TDs wiped off the board because the receiver had to slow down for the ball. This also ended up ending aiyuks season.

We should care multiple other times throughout the season in key situations where his lack of arm allowed a defender to make up ground and take a completion away.

We should care when protection breaks down (as it does for literally every QB in the NFL) and his mechanics can't be perfect that the extra arm makes up for it

Completely ridiculous to say meh who cares if he has a bottom tier arm

but you could make a proper evaluation. i said he sucked. so did nfl coach mike martz. he famously made an evaluation. he said they both sucked (trey and justin). he was right. can't we admit when ppl were right? mike took a lot of heat ppl said oh he's drunk. that's the lengths ppl go to, cuz they don't want to hear reality.

You mean like your reality that Sam doesn't see ghosts? Everyone saw that reality in real time.

No one takes your thoughts on QBs seriously because there is zero consistency.

After making it to the NFCC as a rookie then in his second year making it to the Super Bowl. NOW you're gonna question his arm strength? Lol

You know most of the QB you mentioned with stronger arms some of them can't even win one playoff game!!!

f**k that, Purdy is the man!!!

As my original post said, I'm just talking arm strength, not accuracy/etc. Purdy doesn't have a favorable arm when compared to other starters and this showed up in actual/meaningful plays throughout the season.

Is arm strength the most important trait? It's not, but it sure can come in handy

When did this happen?

First of all what a joke pretending those throws had anything to do with Aiyuk getting injured.

Second those throws you're talking about weren't about arm strength but about timing. We've seen Brock make bigger throws before so it's not like he doesn't have the arm to get it there.

For all the times you think a defender is able to close the gap to break up one of his throws there are countless more where he sticks it into a tight spot no problem. Plenty of others where the way he delivers the ball helps get a completion. We've seen guys put too much air on the ball and result in passes not being completed.

Also once again...having a bottom tier arm in comparison to other QBs is one thing. Claiming he's got an arm that hurts the offense is another thing all together. There have been countless plays off script from him making plays down the field, throwing even across his body and making throws outside the numbers into tight windows.

The limitation is in Brock's head. As long as he understands his arm and what throws he can make it's not the issue you're painting it to be. Perfect example is Jimmy. How often did he attempt throws into windows he didn't have the arm for?

Call me crazy but I'd rather see my QB complete a 40 yard pass on an underthrown ball than to sail the pass ahead of the WR so you don't get the completion. Aiyuk's injury could've happened at any point in that game. It's gross to blame Purdy for the injury just because it happened later on one of those drives.

Hit the 40-50 yard throw. Finish by scoring a TD on the drive and it's a non issue.
It isn't even just redzone failures, it was also 4 drives that ended between the opposition 25-40. Drives just fall apart when we cross halfway.

And when you have a field goal kicker who is iffy, it really hurts you.
