Is Brock real?

The season has been a disappointment overall but I'm still enthusiastic that we have a franchise QB going forward. Excited to watch the kid win big games year after year when they resolve the injuries and defense issues holding the team back.

Brady 3620 yds, 23 TDs, 12 INT, 60% completion rating.

It's almost as if stats don't give a complete picture. And they can be cherry picked to make an argument.

It's been countered already. How many times do we have to have repeat arguments that are tangential to the point in the first place?

-Someone says Brock has below average arm strength.
-Person (like you) responds how can he have below average arm strength when he was the best deep passer in football in 2023, and cites certain statistics.
-We argue about misleading statistics.

Rinse and repeat.

I haven't seen a single metric that disproves Purdy being a top rated deep passer in 2023.

Someone said Brock had a mediocre arm. It wasn't just arm strength being discussed.

Did you post any metrics that I missed?

Exactly

I would hobestly love to see some non cherry picked deep passing stats thst counter Lpmbardi, PFF, Air Yards and deep passing stats.

Stats are measurable that prove a theory.

Feels are irrelevant.

You are very badly missing the point.

the use of stats to highlight the lack of utility for stats as you continue to lean on stats. chefs kiss. a bold maneuver.

Man, I am trying. I have a wicked head cold. Can you help me out?
Statistics/facts should backup any observation.

no, they shouldn't. i mean what was your point above with brady? you think he's honestly on the level with jimmy or others? is that what the stats are telling you? it's a team game. so if i have 4k pass yds, presumably i threw 0 of them to myself. this is not like mlb, where you 100% hit home runs by yourself.

Again, the arguments have already been made. A head cold shouldn't prevent you from clicking back a few pages and reading. This is just laziness (if not disingenuousness).

I don't recall seeing a counter argument with metrics or any facts to bexk them up. I recall a few posters here just saying statistics don't tell the story. Is that the argument you are referring to?

I am just trying to see the full statistical picture.

If you want to see the full statistical picture you are going to have to chart it yourself. It doesn't, and will never, exist.

A good example of this is you citing those passing interval numbers from FantasyPros that included yards after catch. You could have at least attempted to verify those numbers and realized they included YAC.

If you want your arguments to live and die by statistics, that's on you. I'm sure it's lead to some wonky opinions before just as it is now.

Thanks, I guess I didn't miss anything because there is no tangible evidence to counter the statistical evidence, and assessments of Lombardi and PFF.

I am a person who like facts and metrics to support narratives. I am gonna keep countering narratives with facts.

There is available evidence, lol. I guess it was just you being disingenuous . Thanks for that Woo.

What you and Lombardi have proved is that Brock was the best in this particular PFF category - Brock was the most statistically efficient passer in the NFL 20 air yards out. Whatever that's worth.
