Agree. But mahones was brought up as not having a great statistical season

Does anyone think there would be very much complaining if Brock had a mediocre statistical season but came through for us every time in critical situations to where we were 15-2? The answer is no
For Purdy, this season will be the telling one.

If he gets his $50M+ contract and doesn't get us to at least the NFC Championship game, the knives will be out.

Hope he doesn't do a C J Stroud.

I think most would want him to play more like he did in 2023, where he was playing great. If he plays like that, the wins will come.

The only thing I am concerned about is that injured arm, otherwise, all good

this season will be 2 years removed from the injury, I would hope that his arm is better if not back to normal now.

Gotta love some fans setting arbitrary goals already based on a contract. I'm with you.

Yeah, was just still concerned about the ding he had recently. Couldn't throw after..what if he got hit again and same thing happened? Fluke hit probably but yeah, the not being able to throw, sucked. Just aggravated it I guess.

Agreed, worried about that for sure which is why assuming most ppl would want the 49ers to improve the Oline to protect their investment.
