Shame he can't win those rain games like Jimmy did when his defense gives up 0 points. Oh that Jimmy. Let's just bring him back and trade Brock.

NFL defenses adapt. What Brock did in 2022 or 2023 is immaterial in 2025. He needs to get better because defenses figured out how to play 2022 Brock.

NFL defenses did NOT adapt as you should know, which you probably don't. Brock was among the best if not best in the first five games this year on tight window throws without separation. You do realize he lost his number one best separator and nobody else on the team could get separation whatsoever. That's not saying he can't do it without his best weapons, it's simply a statement of fact (I would say every other team had better separators than we did after Brandon Aiyuk went down). He had no check down option in McCaffrey, but hey, he was just the best offensive player of the year that's all.

If we want to go by that logic, I guess teams started figuring out Patrick Mahomes when he lost Tyreek Hill because his production dipped significantly. Not to mention they can't score over 30 points a game if their life depended on it.

if anything, Brock Purdy adapted better because since there was nobody gaining separation, and our pass protection was awful, he started running a lot more and extending plays, which really will be a benefit going forward and make him a top 7 quarterback which he already is imo

Numbers being contract or date? I can't give you any of those but I would put $50 on it getting done by draft and $100 before week 1.

As far as contract numbers I've always mentioned the Jalen Hurts contract as a similar type of deal. Lots of fluff and backloaded and primed for restructure.

Great...they figured out how to play 2022 Brock so well he was a finalist for the MVP in 2023 and had us with a lead every time he stepped onto the field in the 4th quarter and OT of the SB.

They sure did figure it out!

Exactly

Numbers in the contract. I would bet it extends past the draft depending on what Brock is asking for… which obviously none of us really know.
let's do a thought experiment. suppose brock purdy was in Arizona for the cards. would we all be worried? drop your take on that below

Thank you for bringing this up. And that was with Aiyuk being clearly rusty after the holdout. Still the numbers back you up 100%

12 BTTs in the 7 games with Aiyuk.
3 BTTs in the 8 games without him.

Not really. Our offense really hasn't been the same since the Ravens game.

Exactly Genus, I love it when people try to make arguments without any context it's hilarious.

A super accurate QB throwing to Harrison and McBride? Absolutely

Not sure what you're not grasping here. I don't care about Arizona. I care about the 49ers.

If Brock Purdy with Arizona took them to the NFCCG as a rookie, then followed up with the season he had last year in 2023 I sure as hell wouldn't want to get extended.

I rather enjoy seeing them with the faster, stronger armed Kyler Murray who seems to always crash out towards the end of the year.
Even if the 49ers don't sign him this year and he plays great, I don't think the 49ers will have to worry about Brock signing elsewhere because he has already stated he would like to stay with 49ers and he knows he most likely would not be great on other average teams.
